I do a diploma on animal management and that includes animal anatomy and physiology and the only real damage (not killing obv) is if you stick you fingers in the gills... hooks do not hurt them... even when they have been biten they can still swim

I recently took a trip in the USA and was shocked to see the number of FATASS and potbellied people walking around malls and supermarkets. I also saw lots of people with mobility problems on the streets. For a nation that sees animals no better than trash and murders them for their unnecessary lust for meat, no wonder half the population have medical problems before senior age. Whatever your thoughts about angling, this is a dreadfully biased piece of journalism.

The "presenter" wonders where Bruce Friedrich's facts come from and gets him to explain, but doesn't seem particularly bothered about where the professional "bass-master" who makes millions from the "sport" gets his.

Those leaflets may be a little distasteful, but so is pretending fish aren't bothered at all being hooked out of the water because it provides good family fun.

If fish could feel pain they would no longer exist because the food they eat is harder on them than any hook that they get in their mouth from a fisherman/woman.
