  • i remember this being used at the hospital my mom worked at when i was very young. back then they used it for letters and documents and not just products, computers were in existence but email wasn't implemented like it is today. i don't think the tube they used at kumc went the distance they use in this video. it would be cool to see a tube that went between countries underneath the ocean

  • i'd have to say this isn't innovative, i've used a similar system in my post office for years!

  • Very cool.

  • don't use "innovative".

you probably meant to use "vital", or even "life saving".

  • I work for the company that put the system in this facility and many others, so I am naturally biased. Pneumatic tubes are an archaic technology that most medium and large hospitals (and their patients) depend on for lab specimen and pharmacy use.

  • ``innovative Pneumatic Tube system`` this is by far not ``innovitive```this is used by many companies in the world even many in the US and is over a 100 years old. There were even some test involving human transport at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century...still a cool thing but certainly not innovative.

  • yeah my dad's a doctor and every hospital that i have visited with him has had a pneumatic tube system. I remember seeing them when i was 5 years old and i'm 22. Innovative?
