Well firstly, there's the whole shake up of the crew, people are leaving etc, I mean Dr Who isn't coming back till 2010, so a smaller series suits the situation.

Also, the five episodes over a week format is quite new and bold, and has been tested on BBC One recently with some success, so it's also a really bold way to bring Torchwood to BBC One.

It was my friend that made that "Downfall/Torchwood" video. You should have seen her face when she saw this clip. There was nothing that could keep her quiet from her excitement over the fact that both John and Gareth liked it. ^_^

They were talking about a clip that had just been shown of Tosh's death scene in the final episode of season 2. We weren't allowed to film or photograph any studio material shown in the session, such as film clips.

Oh, sorry. They're talking about a parody of the movie "Downfall" (about Hitler) that was recut to add subtitles so that Hitler is raving on about how season 2 of Torchwood ended. Search on "Hitler Gets Banned From Torchwood". It's hilarious!
