The Brazilian translator looks so chte and good person... I like her voice and her personality... It´s funny her rections. Mis Brazil was perfect... in body, answer and mind. For a moment watching this video I thought She was the winner,
It was a wonderful moment, because It is feel tension around the Misses and Translator, do't you think??
What combination a latin american boy, translating Japanese into english.. and english into Japanese...
the Brazilian's answer was much better than Japan.!!!
salbahe.. just heard it.. it is a word used by filipinos.. wow spaniards bought something about our culture.. and may dugo rin tayong spaniards(ang iba).. pero mas mabagsik ang pilipinong dugo ko!!!
Mas principalmente, uma pessoa precisa verdadeira...(then she lost me!).
i feel bad for miss usa but not really she's fucken stupid i would of said in a sense of humor way ''let me start off my saying good evening judges and good evening mexico..well sir i think that would of been like half an hour ago *laugh* we all make mistakes in life nobody is perfect we make mistakes for we can learn from them as you all saw i fell *laugh* but that's a perfect example of how low you fall you can always get rite up thank you''
Korea: "My dream is to be a missionary. So if I could have any superpower, I would want the power to be able to use my knowledge, all my power, and everything I have to spread joy to everyone." She never said money but she heard the translator say money so she added "And, of course, it would also be good to have a wallet that never ran out of money"
OMG
The translator's english is so bad:(
not sure if she should've won, but her answer really was good!
just because the U.S. has treated mexico badly doesn't mean Miss USA had anything to do with it -.- anyway, i always liked her... haha. also japan had a beautiful answer, im glad she won. (:
Damn, too bad not everyone can join this competition -- the questions resemble table topics from Toastmasters -- it can be aced easily!
That said, I absolutely love how every Spanish-speaking girl speaks so eloquently (at least that's what I hear) . it's because their language is so quick and so fast!
I can't help but feel that Korea's answer and USA's answer were 'sell-out' responses. I like to do missionary work .. helping out south africans ...
They have to know that one important thing that i gone write in spanish:
NOT ALL THE MEXICANS ARE LIKE PIGS!
booing for ms.usa just shows u how imature and how lower class mexico was being. it's not right to do such a thing while someone is on stage and it's childish. even if it was usa booing my comment would be the same towards usa.
@mandyjri I KNOW I'M MEXICAN I THINK THAT WAS ONE OF THE TAKIEST AND VULGAR THINGS I EVER SEEN , NOT ALL THE MEXICANS ARE LIKE THAT :) JUST SOME PIGS LIKE IN OTHER COUNTRYS ARE PIGS TOO :), I LOVED HER AND COMMON PEOPLE! IT WASN'T HER FAULT TO CLASSIFIED! SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH , I'M LEARNING LOL, BUT I THINK I MADE MY POINT :)
apparently the korean translator made miss korea sound like a gold digger.. i don't really see how she did, i think she just phrased it weirdly - whatever haha miss korea is sooooo pretty~!!!
Oh my......This really makes Mexico have a bad image....that was very rude and unprofessional when Mexico is a really good country. Why boo on USA??? Just because you don't lie her you don't have to humiliate her all around the whole world! You don't see other host countries booing at other country's representatives! Seriously grow up! And Miss USA deserves a round of applause for keeping her composure and not crying when I know she almost did.
Japan is the only who answer honestly. It is from her heart. Others contestents were trying to smile as much they can when answering the qustion. Thats why their answer looks fake.
who was the favorite to win?usa???she didn't deserve a top-5 place. And i don't believe that they booed her because she fell but because they thought she didn't deserve to be up there...Japan,Venezuela and Brazil were gorgeous!
Miss Brazil should have won... she was the most beaultiful woman among those 5 and her answer was good.
I don't understand why Miss Japan won... her answer was ok but in order to win she would have to answer really well, because she is not as pretty as miss Korea or miss Brazil.
miss america was being booed because of some political issues. as far as i know, The US did not grant those Mexicans a permanent resident visa even they are working in the United States for a long time.
This is actually not true. You see, Miss USA fell in the evening gown semgent, but still beat out the hometown favorite Miss Mexico for a spot in the final 5, and therefore she was booed during the question segment which followed the announcement of the Top 5.
Yes she was, and I am Julie a member of the Miss Universe Orginization. She was being booed not because of any political issues as many of the people here are saying. Miss Mexico lost out to Miss USA for a spot in the final 5 despite Miss USA's fall in the evening gown sement. Therefore they were outraged and booed her. Thank you!
Well you know they didnt Boo anyone else, i can see why they booed USA, cause well the US really discriminates Mexicans...yes they'd obviously be hurt.
what miss korea said was very true. she is just referring about the lifestyle in korea that if u dont have money u cant have the power. or u cant survive if ur wallet is empty here. thats y they're working like mad in order to earn money.
mexicans here shows a negative attitude...they are very irrational...not good to boo USA...i am an asian but i guess what they did degrades their country!
welll also honey also said she wants a wallet thats dosent dry up meaning a wallet that keep formin money.thats what she sed to that threw the judges off.
In my opinion, venezuela's answer was the most complete!! But only in Spanish, cuz in English it was empty... THANKS A LOT TO THE TRANSLATOR (I'm so sarcastic)
Yes, he messed it up so bad. She didn't say anytjing about "GIVE AND TAKE". she needs a little bit of everything" meaning both things spntaneous and wile, and also safe. Besides that, she said that it was the most important thing in a relationship, not the first thing. I don't blame him, though it's hard to remember all things verbatim,
translators r a big problem here, i feel like the ladies aren't getting wat they wanna say or really mean to the ppl.accurate translation is very important here , i feel like that's not fair
That's why they should learn good English first before they come to Miss Universe. If translation is the problem, 30 sec should be given to the delegate and 30 sec for the translation would be fair, right? But damn the translator for Japan and Korea can't even speak English correctly either. Where do they find these translators?
Correction: I meant the Japanese translator for last year's competition. That's why Japan didn't win last year, but that Zulyka, or whatever her name is won instead.
Although Miss Japan is a very sweet and cute girl, I am still surprised that Venezuela did not win (after all, up to that point she had the highest scores). I think that stupid question from Dave Navarro ruined her chance and the translator didn't translate correctly what Miss Venezuela said. Sad!
She was booed simply because she was Miss USA. The xenophobic and border-line racist rheteroic spewed against Hispanics, and specifically Mexicans does not sit well south of the border, nor should it.
Of course the small minority who rails breathlessly against Hispanics in the USA is a fringe movement, but a very loud and noxious one.
In the end, the Mexican audience should have shown more respect for the woman and not condemn her for the actions of idiots in the US.
they booed her because she fell and got through where as miss mexico was gorgeous and flawless and got kiked out i h8d that miss usa she was not very pretty and fell over and made it to the top 5 shows how racist the judges r as every year miss usa is a finalist just coz te judges r american
It's simple. She made the final 5 even though she wasn't a stunner and she had a big fall during evening gowns. Her spot should have gone to someone else, maybe Angola.
after watching this carefully!!! I am so glad that Miss Japan won!! no doubt about that..she has the intelligence, the heart, fashion sense, and very modern!! go Riyo I LOVE U!! i will miss her after she ends her reign this year though.
I don't know you guys but it think that the whole contest would be more fair if English-speaking contestants (such as Miss USA) had to answer in a language OTHER THAN English. Now that would be FAIR. We'd like to see how Miss USA, for example, would handle the situation !
the answers everyone gave seemed kinda fake, smiling too much, rehearsed. I think Japan's answer was from her heart and was more real. She displayed passion when she was answering her question. Btw... this was her first pageant. beginnger's luck? I think if miss korea answered her question better, she would have won.
also, honey says in the beginning that she would want her super power to do great missionary work to the best of her ability and also to have everyone lead happy lives. the translator didn't even mention the happiness factor and was more concerned about hiding her accent when speaking english. she is a dumb bitch!
miss korea's translator was horrible! what honey was tryin to say, was that she would want to have a bottomless wallet so that she could use that money for her missionary work! the translator made her sound like a shallow moron!
the reason miss america got boo'd is becouse mexico beilived that since she fell and still got to move to the top 5 it isnt fair when miss mexico was very poised
no offense to ms japan, but i don't think she shouldve been the one crowned. i don't really like her as how she's shown herself and she seems like one of those mean brats that only care for themselves. ms korea shoulda won
it's not really her that was being booed it was the american government on behalf of rachel. Political issues concerning mexican and american goverment.
For me, brazil shoul have won the crown.. she has the best answer among the four other ladies.. venezuela should come 1st runner up, followed by korea, japan and USA..
i'd like to commend USA for being so positive and strong in the entire pageant.
Riyo may not be the most beautiful out of all these women (according to Western notions of beauty) but she is the most sincere and has the cleanest heart. Plastic surgery and breast implants are so easy to come by, why not reward someone for their individuality and spirit. And she's so freakin cute!!! Rightly deserved
MEXICANS....boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!! your contestant is very fugly!!!! wahahahahaha.....accept it LOSERS!

In the end, the Mexican audience should have shown more respect for the woman and not condemn her for the actions of idiots in the US.

they booed her because she fell and got through where as miss mexico was gorgeous and flawless and got kiked out i h8d that miss usa she was not very pretty and fell over and made it to the top 5 shows how racist the judges r as every year miss usa is a finalist just coz te judges r american
imapeiceofcheese14 3 years ago
I can't believe how miss usa was booed by the mexicans and how they yelled "go back" while she tried to respond to the question. That was very rude!

were they booing Miss USA??
CSUAngel1187 3 years ago
i think they were. but why?
pinkfaerie88 3 years ago
It's simple. She made the final 5 even though she wasn't a stunner and she had a big fall during evening gowns. Her spot should have gone to someone else, maybe Angola.

i would be the most vain person in the world if i was as beautiful as those ladies.

I don't know you guys but it think that the whole contest would be more fair if English-speaking contestants (such as Miss USA) had to answer in a language OTHER THAN English. Now that would be FAIR. We'd like to see how Miss USA, for example, would handle the situation !

ARE THEY BOOING MISS USA????

No, they're booing Miss UAE.. OF COURSE, they're booing Miss United Sates..

the answers everyone gave seemed kinda fake, smiling too much, rehearsed. I think Japan's answer was from her heart and was more real. She displayed passion when she was answering her question. Btw... this was her first pageant. beginnger's luck? I think if miss korea answered her question better, she would have won.

I'm mexican and I think mexican people was very unfair with Miss USA, and she was so intelligent when she spoke in english...
santi200780 3 years ago 2
also, honey says in the beginning that she would want her super power to do great missionary work to the best of her ability and also to have everyone lead happy lives. the translator didn't even mention the happiness factor and was more concerned about hiding her accent when speaking english. she is a dumb bitch!
lmYourHuckleBerry 3 years ago 3
miss korea's translator was horrible! what honey was tryin to say, was that she would want to have a bottomless wallet so that she could use that money for her missionary work! the translator made her sound like a shallow moron!
lmYourHuckleBerry 3 years ago 2
the audience was sooooo rude they boo-ed miss usa.. they are sooo rude!!!

the reason miss america got boo'd is becouse mexico beilived that since she fell and still got to move to the top 5 it isnt fair when miss mexico was very poised
popitup12 4 years ago

what did Miss USA do that she's being booe'd????
harven23 4 years ago
it's not really her that was being booed it was the american government on behalf of rachel. Political issues concerning mexican and american goverment.

For me, brazil shoul have won the crown.. she has the best answer among the four other ladies.. venezuela should come 1st runner up, followed by korea, japan and USA..
i'd like to commend USA for being so positive and strong in the entire pageant.

it was not a friendly gesture from mexicans to boo the miss usa, although i dont like policies of american government
inder19852000 4 years ago 2
Riyo may not be the most beautiful out of all these women (according to Western notions of beauty) but she is the most sincere and has the cleanest heart. Plastic surgery and breast implants are so easy to come by, why not reward someone for their individuality and spirit. And she's so freakin cute!!! Rightly deserved
