When you are a teenager, in my oppinion it's just about right wanting to party fuck and break shit. I did and never regretted it, don't be assholes but ther is no sin doing anything that makes you and others feel good without hurting anyone. Breaking shit isn't all that good, so I'll see you in hell :D
@sweetsweatyfeet Hey I don't mean to start an argument or anything but Christianity, REAL Christianity is about love. I'll admit that in the past we have been a messed up religion but most of us want to move on. We as Christians are supposed to love EVERYONE. But yeah a lot of us don't so I can see what you mean. I just wanted to share that thought.
Of all the ideas and imagery that bombard us, Christianity is the most poisonous of all. You could not invent a more fraudulent and psychologically damaging belief system than Christianity.
@mashtris Why do you assume I am not at peace? There is this notion that permeates the minds of many Christians that those who are critical or don't buy into it are somehow conflicted or lost. It's an unfair mischaracterization of nonbelievers reinforced by the divisive nature of Christianity.
@sweetsweatyfeet I wasnt suggesting that you are conflicted or lost. I was just letting you know that I hope you find peace. Its as simple as God bless you... does not mean your not blessed. ALthough you obviously arent at peace with the world.
@mashtris What you said was "I hope you can find peace" which definitely implies that I I'm not at peace. My point still stands regarding Christian attitudes toward atheists.
Do I have issues with Christianity?, yes but not Christians themselves. I pretty much had Christian dogma foisted on me while growing up and it was not a rewarding experience.
@sweetsweatyfeet Im sorry about your growing up experiences. Im also sorry for starting this arguement . I really didnt mean to offend you. :) . I understand if you have issues with christianity and I hope that you sort them out. WHen I said I hope you find peace I meant I hope you find peace within yourself. And with the world.
@mashtris I'm not offended and not mad. I'm just being honest about my thoughts and feelings on Christianity. I know many Christians and love them dearly but I do see an unfortunate effect it has on how think and view the world. And it does create this binary style of thinking... a "we–they" mentality and a feeling that they don't belong to this world.
@sweetsweatyfeet I myself am A christian but believe me I am not like most christians. I believe in loving everyone. Most christians... sady..are just hypocrites and fakers. Its very dissapointing. I do not seperate myself and I know that I am human and blong to this world. I do not try and force feed people my belief. I view the world as most people view the world. Im not perfect (haha) As if I could be perfect!. I accept homosexuals because who at i to judge?.
@sweetsweatyfeet FRom looking at your channel and excuze me for that , it seems as though you really do have a big problem with Christianity.I have no problem with any religion or beliefs. It makes the world more peaceful. You should try it :)
@mashtris Quite correct, I do not buy into Christianity even though I was raised in a strong Christian community. I consider it a fraudulent fear based control system. Historically the amount of death and suffering arising from religious conflict is incalculable. That is why I speak out against it.
@sweetsweatyfeet But why just christianity? WHat about all the other religions causing death, suffering and conflict?. You might speak out against it but I really do not think that there's going to be much of a difference. Also what about the good that comes out of it?. And no matter what, christianity or not. There will always be death and suffering and conflict. The best way is to just live in peace.
@mashtris I didn't mean to give the impression that only Christianity is a problem. I feel much the same way about any belief system that teaches falsehoods and bigotry. And we all know what some of those are. In contrast to Islam, Christianity (today at least) seems comparatively benevolent and tolerant---but that only serves to highlight the things only religion can motivate people to do.
@sweetsweatyfeet I knowww. Religion is causing a big problem. People are also bringing politics into religions and wow.. fail. I am so dissapointed with the way that religion is causing affliction. I just want Peace. I know its wishful thinking but Im sure the world could agree to believe in Peace and harmony ;)
@sweetsweatyfeet By the way, christianity isnt trying to get you to "buy" anything.. Your not forced to worship God if you dont want to. Its your choice. Free country. But then you have to respect other people's choice to worship God. Its a 2 way street
@mashtris While I respect everyone's right to hold such a belief, I do not have to respect the belief itself. Sorry but Christianity DOES "try to get you to buy into it". The blatant pressures of indoctrination (especially of children), world evangelization and crusades. It even has a special threat for those who don't join the club---called eternal torment in hell.
wow im actually doing a youth even on how christian teens are struggling in their mind to serve christ this actually is awesome. will definatly have this on that day. Thanks & may God use you! THIS IS AN EYE OPENER!!
