i am learning the stang..i had a supercharged 350z i knew in and out but now starting over. with this...i just read the sct tuner can turn the o2 sensors off and prevent that code so i guess i should be all set...far as i can tell as long as it is turned off it is fine for inspection...
also ive looked and can only find o/r x pipe from pypes and no h pipe...And with ur o/r pipe do you smell fumes or anything? how bad is it? my z wit no cats was pretty bad
@tylerxfire Check out Brenspeed they have it. it's a 4 piece version now, so it takes a little more patience to install, but shouldn't be too bad. Yes, you will smell gas, but only with the windows down and it's not overpowering. I like the smell though.
im getting the SCT SF3 powerflash tuner with bama tunes at the same time i buy an H or X pipe.i dont beleive the MIL eliminators are available to buy anymore are they? also do you know if the SCT tuner can turn the code off for that? also if i do it that way though and turn it off i am concerned if it would pass inspection that way or if it would still come up when i get scanned for inspection even though the lights not on.im in ny state and they plug into obd..
@tylerxfire Turning the 02 sensors off must be done by the writer of the tunefile. It can not be done by the end user, unless you purchase the tuning software and know what you're doing. As far as passing inspection, you're best off finding a mod-friendly inspection site. You may want to join StangNet or a similar site and ask people in your area who is friendly. I'm not sure whether it would trip their system or not.
did you throw any codes when you added the pypes o/r H pipe? curious if it throws any o2 codes....Did it really make the violator axleback sound better to you? i need a little louder out of my pypes axleback but dont wanna throw any codes
@tylerxfire No codes, but the person who makes my tunes turned off the front o2 sensors in the tune. You either need to do that, or you can buy MIL eliminators that trick the computer and plug into the O2 sensors. Obviously a tune is the best way to go. Yes, the Violators sound amazing with the off road H.
hmmmm i put down 296 hp with an auto with brenspeed tune, UDP, 4.10s, JLT CAI and flowmaster axle backs with pypes long tubes. stock i put down 261 HP. You got a tight dyno LOL
You are correct for the most part, but it really depends on the dyno. The most important thing to do is put the car on the same dyno every time. The dyno I used is a DYNOmite Dynamometer. It's mostly known for it's use for AWD vehicles.
which tune do you perfer the bama or brenspeed?

It's pretty accurate, but probably a bit deeper in person.

Would you say the sound in the video is an accurate representation, or is it deeper or higher pitched in person, louder or quiter etc.

What are the final dyno results after the Tune and exhaust mods?
302me 4 years ago
284RWHP 293FT/LBS TQ are the numbers after intake, tune, charge motion delete plates, and off road H pipe. On the same dyno, it put down 241HP stock.
darkfiregt 4 years ago
241RWHP seems a little low to me. I thought 05-08 GTs were putting out 259-262RWHP stock and about 280-285RWHP with CAI and tune.

Thanks guys. The Pypes off road H pipe has been dynoed at 8HP and 10 FT/LBS TQ at the wheels. I definitely felt an increase.
