There were several "test" commercials General Foods produced over the years, either to see if a certain product was worth merchandising {cf. a Road Runner-inspired "Beep Beep" cereal in 1968}, or if an ad campaign was worth "going forward". This one falls into the latter category- it's basically a "living storyboard", with a soundtrack to match. Obviously, Post executives passed on this idea...
