  • where's the part 2 ?!?!

  • Hi David, Thanks for the post! Kindly let me know if there is the subsequent video to this above one.

    Best regards

  • you're too fsat!!!

  • where's the part 2? Damn.

  • can u tell me what ur using for that paint thing

  • thanks for the video. I am trying to learn Frontpage in order to make a website at school. I originally made the website on iWeb. Do you know if it can be successfully transferred into Frontpage 2003?

  • David, you are excellent!!! Thank you for the info...I have improved my website with your help!!!

  • @bronbarry I'm in the middle of doing a stack of new videos now. Will post them online very soon. Watch here as I'll be letting you know where I upload them to.

  • Thanks, this really helped, can you give me a link to the next video? i cant find it and i REALLY need the help! thankss :)

  • @EllieFleet As soon as I do some more I'll upload them and let you know. I don't use Frontpage anymore, but I still stick by what I've always said when it comes to Frontpage and people getting started online - "it's simple, easy and effective to quickly put a website online". Thanks for your comments!

  • How can you draw ? :o

  • That´s a feature from Camtasia Studio ;)

  • @SanttuSanteri Drawing on the screen on a PC is simple with Camtasia (which is what I recorded this video with). On a MAC computer, the best option is to use Screenflow (which is screen recording software for the MAC). Use it along with OmniDazzle which allows you to draw on the screen. OmniDazzle is great and makes your MAC seem like a tablet (and is available online for free).

  • i love it when you say "my computer"

    great job thanks.

  • @ferch0o0 Thanks :)

  • Comment removed

  • A great help and easy to understand

  • @theosquelch Appreciate your comments! It was ages ago that I recorded this video. Things have changed SO MUCH since then. Using Wordpress is much better nowdays for sites and is awesome for search engine rankings as well.

  • I thionk i have frontpage but someone told me dreamweaver is better. 399 is expensive though and i am not sure about these free dreamweaver tutorials. I justlike to create a page more my pics and to share my vinyl album recordings.

  • no frontpage better

  • try iweb, its a mac program, but it does the job

  • @rbfholdings iWeb is excellent. I've used it many times and it's got some awesome features. It's personal preference I suppose. Nothing is right or wrong, it's all up to the user at the end of the day. A brilliant Frontpage design will make a terrible Dreamweaver design look silly. The same in reverse as you'd understand. Both tools are good, but it's up to the knowledge of the person using the tools.

  • @woofwoofbone Depends on what you're using it for really. A lot of students who I teach just want to get something up and running online, which turns into cash for them. I look at it this way "do you want to be a web designer or do you want to be an internet marketer?" There is no right or wrong answer - it just depends on the situation at the time. I'd rather cash than flash :)

  • Pardon me. In FrontPage 2003, how do you make a table the size of the entire body of the page?

  • bluexon WEBSITE with great FREE Website Templates and have the website of your dreams created by proffesionsal website designers starting at as low as 40$

    Hope this helps!

    David

  • i have microsoft office 2003 on my computer but i can`t find frontpage.

can anyone help me find it or tell me where i can download it.

    thanks

  • hey ...

u inserted a picture in the starting, lyk at about the 4th minute..u already had that picture in ur computer...so how do you make one like that??

  • If you read the title and description youll realise this tutorial is for Frontpage. Go look for a "Banner making Tutorial" if you want to know how to do that.

  • It's funny when people comment on tables being tabular database and who's made better sites etc.

I'll compare my results (money and life) with yours... then I'll compare my clients results and business because of my coaching.

Let's say I can GUARANTEE my results are real and MUCH BETTER than people posting on here!

  • I agree with you David. Why do websites like yours have to be complex if they help you make alot of money. And your tutorial has helped me.

    Great Spokesman.

    5/5 Good Job.

  • No. Tables are for Tabular Database.

  • Do you mean "tabular data"?

In which case you're absolutely right :)

  • lmfao sorry I was working with mysql database before that. I'm actually 14 years old so I'm not even planning to make money right now, this is just a really bad tutorial on make a site. There's no functionality, and theres no simantics. Although I think that only CSS should be used for design is a load of crap, it does help with loading time, which is also a load of crap. Cheers.

  • sounds like a hardcore salesman lol

  • come on people

    this guy is an ametuer

ive made way better sites than that

  • **** you siman880

    Great tutorial man!

  • the tutorial is good but it looks like a site from the 90's and that is al i was saying

  • Doesn't look like you said that!

  • nvm but this is a good tut for beginners

  • Great video, by looking at this video im gonna scrap dreamweaver for frontpage!

  • awesome 5/5...can you post a tut on forms?

how to make forms...sign-up forms and how the information reaches you?

  • i needed this for skool LOL thanks for all the info

  • TYhank you david that was verry useful

  • Thank You David. It really helped me and i understood everything.

Looking forward to seeing your next video.

  • when will be the second video?

  • Hey I just followed this and did it! You are fast and I had to pause you a few times, but you put together for me everything I have wondered about. It was easy with your instruction. Thanks man!

  • thank you so much david

  • Hi,

You draw the lines within Camtasia which is what I use to make these video tutorials.

I've changed over to MAC's now and will be doing some brand new videos asap to be uploaded to Youtube!

    Hope you like them,

    David Cavanagh

  • David, I make tutorials at work for other staff, what are you using to draw the lines on your live tutorials?

  • thanks a lot!

  • Thanks for the Tips David, your a great guy and was nice meeting you at Money masters a few months ago

    David Cavanagh

  • When will you release your next video? And in the next video, will you how us how to add banners and stuff? And finally, will you show us a hosting and domain websites?

  • Hi,

Been flat out with seminars but will have some coming out VERY soon.

    Thanks for your interest!

    David Cavanagh

  • where can i download microsoft front page

  • Hi,

You buy Frontpage from your computer store.

    David Cavanagh

  • Table-based designs are terrible ;)

    Use CSS and DIVs.

Also Frontpage produces a terrible and not validate code.

Use Macromedia (Adobe) Dreamweaver or an openSource ContentManagementSystem!

    Or learn HTML and CSS!

  • Hi,

Thanks for your comments as they're appreciated!

One thing I'll say to you is this:

Do you want to be a web designer, or do you want to make money on the internet?

I make 7 figures per year from using blogs and Frontpage... might be scattered code, but my bank accounts don't worry about the look and feel of it all :)

    David Cavanagh

  • What recorder do you use Canasta or Camstudio?

  • Hi,

    I use Camtasia by Techsmith

    David Cavanagh

  • i never knew that "a few seconds time" was more than 3 monthes!! plus i lovethis one cause my dad made me make him a website and i don't know anything at all, so i need your second episode or else i shal fail at website making

  • this guy stole ma name...now im away to make a website sayin this...thanks.... david cavanagh =)

  • Hi,

    hahahaha

Looks like we both like this name :)

    David Cavanagh

  • Thanks for that , whens the next one out?

  • Superb video, easy to follow steps. Thanks David.

    Bas Darigala

  • Bas,

Wait for the next ones... they'll be MUCH better I promise :)

    David

  • David,

Excellent as always. I have always been nervous of Front Page; this video explains everything very clearly. Looking foreward to the next ones. Keep it up. Malcolm.

  • Thanks Malcolm.. appreciated my friend

  • Hi David,

Very good tutorial, ideal for us newbies as it shows all the necessary steps to get a page up and running. Good to be on the coaching programme. Keep them comming. David T

  • David,

Newbies are the ones I cater towards. So I'm glad you liked my first one here.

    David Cavanagh

  • Hi David, great video and realy clear instructions - even I 'the technophobe' could follow it! Awesome!

  • Debbie,

Thanks for the kind words. It all makes me work harder!

    David

  • Congratulations David on the video. I really like how you've started with the basics and will be building from there. I have started to work some of these things out for myself over the last few weeks and had I seen the video first it would have saved me quite a bit of time. I'm looking forward to the next instalment.

    Cheers

    Stuart Constable

  • Stuart,

Yes I feel the basics is where it all begins. People get too caught up in the "advanced stuff" and don't even know their "A-B-C's". I'd rather start at the beginning and then it's easier to work my way up.

    Thanks buddy,

    David Cavanagh

  • Stuart,

Cheers mate. Good to see you here at YouTube as well.

    David

  • Great video David, easy to follow and step-by-step. For anyone watching this for the first time, they will have absolutely no problem following what to do. As a member of your coaching program I find all your step-by-step processes easy to follow and you certainly deliver valuable content! The Internet can be an overwhelming place unless there is someone like you able to unravel it and explain everything in simple easy to understand steps. Great work. I look forward to the next one!

  • Roger,

Fancy seeing you in here! I need to slow down on the next ones, but with the 10 minute time frame it makes it difficult. Might ask YouTube if I can get to Director status and then I can upload longer videos.

    David Cavanagh

  • Hi Big Roger,

What can I say? Thanks for your lovely comments!

    David

  • Hey David,

You are the Man! This is a great training video.

A great teacher makes difficult things look easy. The simple step-by-step approach is clear and concise.

Even an completely newbie like me can understannd. Great job, David.

  • Peter,

All the way from Singapore! Glad to see my work helps you!

    David

  • Cheers David I am sure that any other teachings will benifits others and you can be of service to anyone who may need more advanced help if they need it. Im sure you will have access to information that isnt easy to find else where and is worth in terms of saving time of painful study and research. No doubt some of its worth paying for to help one advance to their goals quicker.

    Pete

  • I've often wondered how to get started in Front Page.

    This really gets you going!

  • Nice video. Whens the next one coming on youtube?

  • Rudebizzle,

I'm going to make a series of these and post them asap!

So subscribe to my link here, and you'll get notified immediately my friend.

    Thanks for your interest!

    David Cavanagh

PS.. My own coaching and mentoring group receive a LOT more than these videos. These are just basic videos to help the YouTube community, and to give myself some exposure for people who've never met me at a seminar or workshop.

  • Yea, i signed up to that today, im getting an email tomorow. Ive already subscribed aswell. Thanks for this video, and im looking forward to many more;).

    King Regards

    RudeBizzle

  • Hi David,

Well done on a well presented video. It is good to see someone who has taken time to explain things in a concise and informative way.

Your step by step approach is just what people new to the web want.

Frontpage is a very good way to get a webpage/site up for people new to website setups.

You obviously know your stuff and more importantly you can get it across to others.

  • Nice comments Adrian!

I've tried to make it as basic as possible, so there are MANY more things a person could do (other than what I've done in the video).

This video is meant to be a building block to start off the foundations of a great structure.

Watch for my upcoming videos on here!

    David Cavanagh

  • BRILLIANT! David it drives me Bonkers when people TELL me what to do but don't SHOW me how to do it! (And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way!) I hope this is just the first of many videos that you will be sharing with theYouTube community.

  • Hi Chris,

Thanks for your comments mate. Yes, it disturbs me that a lot of people "tell" people a lot of things, but when it comes to showing them they run to the hills :)

I know you know this stuff... a lot do... but there's a LOT of people who need to learn to save themselves heaps of cash.

    Thanks once again Chris,

    David Cavanagh

  • David, the video is professionally done. And you took the time to to take one through it step b step which is what everybody needs. When someone starts online, they will feel lost and this kind of tutorial will give them hope. They will also save money from paying their web designers to do the job for them. Dave, this was what I needed a year ago, instead I spent days just trying to figure out a simple thing!

  • Hi there sam1khan11,

    What can I say? :)

Such nice kind words - makes me want to make a stack more of them for you :)

Thanks for looking at my video!

    David Cavanagh

  • Thanks, David, this video detailing the BASICS was just what I needed. Some mentors forget that the simple things, which are so obvious to them, really are rocket science to real beginners. I could always watch the video again, if I didn't catch something, but if the delivery was just slightly slower, it would be easier to take in all the really useful info you give. Terrific job! I'm looking forward to watching the next one! Keep 'em coming, they're a great learning tool. Thanks!

  • UncFre,

I feel BASICS is what most people fail to teach!

They're so into getting the latest "new, you beaut idea" across, that they forget the "proven basics" which are time tested and proven!

Yes you're right about the speed of delivery.

I had to do it fast because of the 10 minute restriction here at YouTube - but you can pause it, write things down and then keep watching :)

Look out for more videos really soon!

    David Cavanagh

  • Hi Everyone!

If you find I speak fast here it's because there is a MAXIMUM of 10 minutes per upload to YouTube.

Then I'd have to do 4 or 5 videos and it would be crazy.

On my normal coaching videos they are a LOT slower, because I control the server hosting etc etc.

    David Cavanagh

  • Hi David,

Nice work mate. Video is a little blurry at my end but this could be because of my slow internet connection in New Zealand.

I found that you explained every thing really well though! Your coaching students will learn a lot from this video.

    Have Fun

    Scott Wilson

    The Entrepreneurs Copy Writer

  • Hi Scott,

Good to see you checking out my stuff :)

Yeah, the video I uploaded was a LOT better quality than what is here in YouTube :(

I think it's when it gets encoded that the loss of quality kicks in.

These things happen, but if people are really serious about making money on the Internet, and want a series of my videos, they can always join my coaching program... hehehehe.

    Thanks for your feedback,

    David Cavanagh

  • Thanks David for this informative revision of how to set up a content page or minisite in less than 10 minutes. Luckily there is a pause button to go step-by-step. Good educational program.

  • Hi samuk1000,

I've got EVERY wysiwyg editor that is on the market, and I get sent copies of numerous editors each and every day. The reason I have stuck to Frontpage in this video is it's quick, easy, a lot of people who have Office already own a copy, and it's what we show when I speak at the World Internet Summit.

And you're right when you say it's a 10 minute job - this makes it SO EASY for newbies who are just starting out on the net.

    Thanks for your comment!
