lots of other english speaking countries have spelling variations, and neither one is wrong... for example: color/colour, favorite/favourite, as well as the ize/ise. i think the "z" spelling is only american.

Also, just to clear things up on the spelling argument, the reason yanks cant spell is because when they colonised (not colonized) america, most of them were soldiers and farm workers. They didnt have a decent education so therefore spelt (not spelled) words incorrectly. Hence forgetting to use the letter 'U' or replacing 'S' with 'Z'. So to people not from America, please pity them, they don't know any different. Also, America is always right in everything it does (Last sentence was sarcasm.)
