  • Sounds just like our old rescue (1986 Hahn). What a shame that Hahn had to go out of business.

  • We've got the same engine on my department except its an 89. I love the damn thing but we're due for an upgrade. One of the air tanks fell out on our way back from a call last week.

  • Are there any manual Trans fire trucks in the USA?

  • do fire engines keep their air system charged so they don't have to wait to build pressure for the brakes when starting up?

  • @asulca593 Depends on the rig. All of ours have onboard aux compressors to keep the air up. Not all do.

  • an 87? man hope that thing is reliable and dependable yrs from now. government need to upgrade someday. still sounds great though.

  • @abram7117 my dept has a 85 gruman duplex and that thing is a monster still run's great yeah she's old but she's the most reliable truck we have.

  • idk i like the 8v-92 better more of a deep sound

  • I know that sound well, this engine is in the Orion bus that I ride all the time.

  • american car companies can make good diesels but they dont put enough in passenger vehicles

  • Gotta loves those Detroit engines.

  • I watched a videoclip of another Hahn fire engine, but with a Detroit Diesel 6-71.

  • With proper maintance I have no doubt you guys will keep it running as good as it does now. :)

  • Nice sounding rig, seems to start easily inspite of it being 21 years old!

  • It better. Local government expects us to get 10 more years out of it.

  • @EdgevilleRWY dang!
