okay let me clarify things. Guys you need to do your research. The 71 gt and the 500 came with this gt hood, cobra's came with a flat hood or a shaker hood. the White stuff at the edges of the flat black are buffing compound, I will not paint the hood glossy, because in the 70's the matte was used to reduce glare from and sunlight reflections off the hood to the driver. I was moving so there were alot of shit in the trunk......ANY THING ELSE GUYS LOL

@MrAdmin28 The hood was a weld job. It's not the stock hood that came with it. He took the hood from another car, probably a GT Sport, and cut the scoop from that hood and welded it to his. Hence why that part looks sanded and weather-fucked, but you can still see the grooves at the edges of the hood which are painted.
