Nanners has a nice growl in his tone. I don't hear that in many tiels. How did you teach him the clap in "Happy & You know It" tune? I have a cockatiel I would love to teach him that!
I believe Nanners is just about the most talented bird I have ever seen and heard! My hubbyand I nearly fell over when he made the clapping sound! THANK YOU for posting this! We've been wanting a cockatiel, but are concerned that it will not whistle like yours, but we'd' teach him. Did you have to play the song over and over for him to learn this/other songs? Thanks!! Love this video. Just got my cockatiel named "Bastian". He loves to lay down and sit on me while I've got my iPad on and watch this video. It is so cute. I hope you make more videos. He is so sweet!!
@MsQuakerparrot What happens when you have a tiel thats mean and nasty (only to me) and loves everyone else (By this i mean my bird litteraly we taught her to kiss peoples noses when they go bye the cage[: lol but when i try she BITES ME! LOL!) And since the day we got her we have been saying, "pretty girl!" to her and singing many songs! Lol i have a stubborn one, and she seems bored lots of times! I have no clue why lol! Your bird is so amazing...
@goldennight ...I have been whistling Bridge Over River Kwai to him lately, so hopefully he will sing it long enough for me to get a video. Usually he starts singing it and then busts into another song! lol
@77SamLuv77 Some tiels just refuse to sing or talk. I had one when I was younger that was very sweet, but never talked. He would whistle, but never songs. Start with one or two words/songs and just keep repeating them. Hopefully he will catch on. Nanners started talking when he was about 5 months old.
@77SamLuv77 One more thing....if the bird doesn't like the song, he won't sing it! lol Try to find something that he shows interest in when you sing to him.
We need more Nanners' videos. They are almost educational for other cockatiels (my Maxwell loves to listen to Nanners!)
