Beverly Sills Paris Recital 1971 LIVE (For ROBERTA)

My first exposure to Beverly was a LP- white with light brown picture//lettering. A sorta pirate record of a live recital. She sang this aria-i was hooked. Almost sure this is "not" what i heard. Does anyone remember the record (LP) i'm talking about?

Now 2 days ago I was listening to Welcome to Vienna in my car and I think this is an even better performance of Ruhe mein Sanft than that studio recording! As an ex-opera singer myself I am always so aware of where so many Mozart singers fail and that is with the legato line that HAS to be brought when singing Mozart. Who else other than Beverly Sills has an impeccable legato line coupled to phenomenal breath control? What a gift to us all! You will live on in all our lives and memories Beverly.
