  • Awesome stuff as usual, but I think what I dug the most is how the cowboy beebop sinked in whti you coloring the card.

  • @victomon77 Thanks! It is nice when the music can seem to play in sync to the video. And thanks for taking note!^^

  • Please Tell me what colouring pens'pencils you used please! also how much they were people! you amazing!

  • @saz2k9 I'm using Copic Sketch markers. And they can range from 5-7 dollars (give or take)....depends on where you get them of course. THanks.

  • @MsNicoleGoff Thanks, sorry for the questions but one more! :) It looks like you coloured over the same colour, can you do that with those pens? :O PLEASE, thanks you so much! <3

  • @saz2k9 NP. Yes you can layer them...with the same color and/or different. I tend to use different colors.

  • Thnx (( Nicole )) :)

  • @XlolxdsenseofhumerX You're welcome...XD

  • are these referance pics or your own ideas?

  • @SxFeetAboveMyFriends My own ideas using established characters or my own characters with exception of the cover recreations. Which I note and credit the originals in both the videos and comments section.

  • @MsNicoleGoff oh...

  • hoe much time its take for you ???

  • @chenbur I don't remember this particular card, but cards take me anywhere around 30 minutes to several hours.

  • great with the brush. i envy you

  • @ajxegg Thanks, but I'm still learning....it never ends, hehe. ^^;

  • @CESION4 HEhehe...it's all over...it's my handle, in my videos, on my profile...^^;...Nicole.

  • @CESION4 Thank you! And thanks to Yoko Kanno for the great music. ;P

  • Immense! But the first sketches aren't visible and i'm really struggling with that stage of my drawings, the sketching and spacing. and i'd appreciate if you could try and make them more visible, but otherwise great work.

  • @charlie61087 Thanks! This is an old video. Fortunately, I've posted more frequent ones with the pencil stages. But still, the roughs are light compared to the tight pencils. It's just the type of lead holder I use and it doesn't show well on camera. I'm also not consistent nor accurate with my underdrawings (or drawing in general)...I do these these videos more for fun and entertainment...not so much instructional. I'm so not high enough in skill...

    But thanks for watching! XD

  • epic

  • @DominikWidomski Thanks!

  • Nothing short of excellent artistry, Ms. Goff. Your Rogue sketch on an ebay auction (item # 310220489391) had me laughing.

    Keep up the great work!

  • @taurnguard Thank you! And yeah...I had fun with those three charity cards. XD And I'll try, thanks!

  • Awsome love it

    Brenda

  • @snook432 Thank you! :)

  • DUDE this card is awesome (sorry for calling you dude....)

  • Thank you and no worries...I don't find 'dude' gender specific anymore. XD

  • OMG it was so cool that you had Tank as one of your songs. I actually skipped ahead (it's late and I'm lacking patience) and that just like... wowed me. :D

    I had fun watching this.

  • Hehehhe...glad it did. This is my most extensive vid at this point....with the info and stages. But not the same coloring I do....since this paper quality took away from that.

    I do have some pencil stage vid(s) I'll be posting eventually...but maybe just by themselves...as a montage...or not.....we'll see (they were recorded on UStream so the quality won't fit the original inks/colors).

  • What did you use for the actual coloring of the sketch? Pen? Brand? etc.

  • Coloring was done with Copic 'Sketch' Markers. Copic Markers come in a couple types....Sketch, Caio etc. (they have different tips from each other).

  • By the way - I think you've got the foreshortening pegged in this Green Goblin pic.

  • Thanks for noting that! I was trying to have more dynamism to add to the 'pumpkin in your face' thing. And that increases when you foreshorten other elements aside from the point of interest. XD

  • Yep - that goblin almost climbs out of the frame!

  • Wow - what a talent! I think you definitely have a career in comics.

  • I appreciate that, thanks! It's a hard industry to break in and I'm working my way through online networking and exposure. I also have a lot to learn before I can handle an actual comic book run. Right now, I'll stick to simple illustrations.

    Oh, and don't send Grammerman after me. I'm not half as bad as...well...nowadays with the online and texting thing...I think I retained a bit of the alphabet and kept my vowels. ;)

    Except 'ppl' for people...at least it's similar phonetically. XD

  • that is wicked. i need some of those markers hey mind watching some of my vids on my drawings? thanks

  • Thanks for thinking so. Yeah, the markers are nice but costly. I checked out your first there drawing vids and left a profile comment. ;P

  • thanks really appreciate it, keep up the sweet drawings

  • Thanks! I have a long ways to go to be a comicbook artist though...I need more practice with actual pages and BG's as well as anatomy...lots of practice. ^^;

  • amazing dude,are u a comic artist??

  • Thanks an not officially. I'm currently working on sketch cards through Rittenhouse (contracted by Marvel). I still have the rest of these Spider-Man sketchcards due the end of this month.

    I do have my own stories/comic (graphic novels) I plan to self-publish eventually. And I did go to the Joe Kubert's School to help become a better comicbook artist...someday to be published. XD

  • and ur a girl which is cool, ive never seen a girl who can draw comics

  • Thanks...^^;...and yeah, there's a lot of girl comic artists out there, not so much on the big titles but still...

    And LOTS of great ones who are in the sketch card biz like me too. XD

  • This is my favorite of your videos 'cause you show your pencils! do more like this, we'll you don't have to but that would be awesome! yay XD

  • Why thank you! It is the most complete one out my current batch....but it also takes longer to edit. At the time, windows movie maker, along with my 5 year pc, couldn't handle the large files....so I opted out the pencil stage with the rest.

    BUT, Now that I have a MAC (that doesn't work with my camera though), I'm going to record through my PC and transfer over to the MAC for editing. So my future ones should turn out better and maybe I'll throw in some pencils here and there. ;P

  • And I'm gonna give that Pelikan ink a shot- you seem to have no problems coloring right over it!

  • Just make sure you give it ample time to dry and don't press into it too much. It isn't bleed proof, but it holds up better than the Speedball ink. Although, it smells like formaldehyde. *yuck*

  • Oh, yeah, I love drawing to Mambo music too!! Really... makes all of the difference!! Awesome work, Nicole!

  • Thanks! I like adding the upbeat music to the card vids, but I'm trying out some slower ones for the more 'delicate' visual cards. ^^;

    I actually listen to a mix of Toybox and anime songs when drawing.

  • A bit better than before I think :3

  • Before? As in my previous vids? Thank you for saying it's better in general..hehhe. I had more fun with the text commentary and music. Especially the opening 'fuzziness'-scratchy look to match the music. XD

    -N =)

  • Nice work Nicole!

  • Thanks for checking it out! XD

  • simply amazing! woot! :D

  • Thanks for saying so and checking it out!

    Although, I don't like how the music shifted after uploading...the first music credits were supposed to hit the 4 beats right on the money. ^^; You think that's a fps thing that YouTube doesn't support/sync well or something?

    -N =)

  • Sometimes theres a loss of frames for some reason with youtube. i find I have an out-of sync problem with files that are 23fps with pull down vs 29 fps which dont have problems.

  • IC...I'll have to look into that when I get myself SV7. Not much I can do with WMM...it keeps freezing and crashing on me...it can't handle my vids...hehehe. Thanks for the info!

  • So cool!!!

    Jeff

  • Thank you, Jeff!

    -N =)

  • Nice^^

  • Thanks, but too slick (surface...shiny) for my tastes. ^^;
