They quickly learn to wait there turn if your out flying your hawk with others, give them a chance. Harris Hawks are pretty smart as I'm sure you know. Just look how they hunt in the wild, very often team work and your part of your hawk's team.
I won't lie to you; I'm not entirely sure what's going on for the rest of this video, but the last 15 seconds didn't half get my heart pumping! Amazing
hi this is like the best video on youtube. i have 4 harris hawks and they are all good hunters but i was just wondering how u trained yours like that? thanks.
Hiii.... I think this was posted on IFF with explanation on how you trained the harris.... could you please send me the link on the thread? I tried to find it several times, I even asked for help to find but so far no luck...... it would be great help if you sent it to me, I wanna train my buzzard to do this... :) thanks a lot,
hi im really interested in starting falconry any tips you could give me,and ive heard a harris hawk is a good bird to start on but what sort of price are you looking at for one of these and where do i go to get one etc? Awesome vid though:)
@infernodood3 male harris hawks your are looking at about 200-300 and females about 300-400. if you have local bird centre you should check that out to see if they sell harris hawks... get afew books on beginer falconry and you should be set, i would really appreciate it if you had a look at my videos , thanks
Great video, you certainly have a very well trained hawk, do you ever hunt with him/her I am guessing her by the size? Lovely area you have to fly in too.. Just as a video excellent. The stoop at the end was perfectly caught as well.. Thanks for sharing it with us all and keep them coming.
Unbelievable!! i dont know much about hawks or birds of prey for that matter im a parrot owner who is considering getting a harris. these are beautiful creatures and im sure that took alot of training to let it go so far and come back in style!
Great video mate that was amazing your bird goes so far away from you and knows to come back. Brilliant. The dive at the end was breath takin. LOL the dog :).
Amazing!! :)

Harris' are usually smarter than their handlers. You prove most, most, most Harris' handlers aren't up to your ability. ;) !!!!

Great video.
I trained one of my Harris's to wait on, took me ages getting him fit enough so he would want to do it.
Why have you got your hawk hooded?
Never hooded any of my hawks and they quickly become bomb proof.
Feed em mean and keep em keen.
Happy hunting :-)

@JMGater
Its hooded for exactly the same reason as game hawks!
They don't sit still when you teach them to do something!
