well i am sure in Havana and Cuba they boil their flowers as sleep aid(grandma did) and called him TILO ,even though i know this is not the real TILO(LINDEN IN ENGLISH) .i had been to Berlin where a whole boulevard is called ''Under the Lindens'' ,they are not the same tree

this one comes from north India but grows very fast and is drought resistant,beautifil tiny leaves and abundant flowers for bees

( Moe - Ringa ) people with regional accents may pronounce it differently. If you visit treesforlife org you can see a list of what looks like over 100 regional names and variations.

@DANIELDMARTINRIOS Common names for Moringa in Cuba are : Palo de Tambor, Palo de Jeringa, Acacia, Ben, Calicita, Leno nefrítico, Palo blanco, Paraíso francés, , the Tilo your talking about is called : " Tila, Carpintero, Té criollo " in Cuba and comes from the plant Justicia pectoralis which is used as a relaxing tea. Moringa does not have these medicinal properties and is usually not used as a tea except for nutritional sprays for crops.
