not a joke: saw the same thing yesterday over b'ham Edgbaston last night around 9:30 - but there where two. strange flight paths - looked like the Chinese lanterns but was moving upwards and in a sort of formation.
Saw the same thing last night at my parents house in Belle Vale Halesowen going east...at about 9:15pm 9th October 2010! My parents said this is 2nd time they have seen this kinda thing in the sky .Before my parent said there was 4 of them at the same kinda time going same way apart from one which stop then went in a flash..?? Anyone can tell me what i saw last night and what my parents saw 2 months ago?
Saw 6 very bright red light travelling from west to east on a clear night last sunday in west sussex. We dont believe in aliens but really want an answer to what they were they made no sound at all unlike the planes going over at the same time. Much to high for lanterns or balloons took video will be downloading it soon an put it on utube.
these things have been spotted over Liverpool aswell. Going in and out of the river Mersey ! strange indeed but i can't accept the Chinese lantern theory as they would go out when entering the river and not rise bak up again !
I saw an Orange Ball / Orb on my way home last night... about 10.15. At 1st I thought it was a Helicoter but the whole thing was glowing and it made no noise.... it changed direction and dissapeared upwards so that it just looked like a star... then it dissapeared.... thought I was going mad until I saw these videos
i have jus seen big ball of fire flying thru the sky over liverpool tonight looked like it had flammes coming of it it was going in a straight line frm west to east towards the irish sea
Yeah me and my girlfriend saw 2 of these things within about 10 minutes of each other on november 6th.1st one was when i was driving down by Sheldon and the second was by Acocks green. They were exactly the same as above, just red balls of what looked like fire.There is no way they were planes or chinese lanterns.Iwatched the second for about 10 minutes then it just disapeared , again both no sound and pulsating wierd....
Saw this over Perry Barr with my Dad about a week ago, firstly thought it was a plane as it was on the flight path to Birmingham airport, my Dad insisted it wasn't so I stopped to watch, it changed direction (slowly) from the flight path and headed off into the distance, no noise and seemed to be flickering. People have said it's just Chinese lanterns but this appeared too large and very distant. It's movement seemed to be under power and not just 'floating' through the sky. No idea what it was.

They were flying at a fairly low altitude, moving in different directions silently & were in no way similar to conventional aircraft. Hit me up if you have seen similar things in the chelmsley wood/coleshill area of birmingham.
not birmingham oxford me and my mates was at this park were i live and we saw this oringe ball and it had a red bit at the bottom and it moved around then went off till it looked like a red star then just gone
saw the same thing over birmingham city centre last night about 7 oclock, 15 to twenty bright orange lights. My son and I saw the same thing about 3 years ago and it was around this time of year again!
please post uncutted versions of videos atleast including ground references to let us see its manuevers and make sure it is not a star or a lamp etc..

Saw it again last night (16/05/2009 - 23:30) - Much higher up in sky this time and again it disappeared upwards - Crystal clear night, planes were around and lokked nothing like it!
@mrescuba i actually just seen something the same tonight up in scotland tonight except it's movements were unpredictable as it was heading my way it would zigzag from side to side moved way too fast for a plane or helicopter at that height then it stopped moving in my direction still moved side to side then faded like it was heading back in to space i wish i had my video camera at hand to record it defiantly the strangest thing i've seen in the sky.

but then agen if we did have a great quality camera on us (just happen to have one) it would be ridiculed for being such good quality lol cant win either way
because some of us don't carry round a big high quality camera, more obvious answer to your question would be phone camera are the devices most used to capture sighting
Apparently some of these ufos are pan dimensional this is why the images you see on most vids are flickering and distorting into different shape/images - they don't bother to "lock-on " to our planet's exact frequency - like picking up a distant am band radio station!
