Remember the old tale. a man was in a sinking boat, and another boat came by and asked him for help. the man said "no thanks, the lord will save me". two more boats came by before the man drowned. when he got to heaven he asked god why he didn't save him.

The biggest problem that Earth faces is its overpopulation. With advances in modern medicine over the last century people now live way longer than nature had intended. To me, disease is just a natural way to control the population. Helping will not solve things. There is no end to this. Nothing ends, nothing ever ends.

modern medicine, if not used correctly, will cause mutations in viruses that allow them to resist treatment. viruses evolve in response to their environment just as much as animals do ... it's not a categorical error. Just like AIDS, viruses mutate over time and, if allowed to mutate, will become a huge threat to mankind!

I hope so too. However, you're wrong about where this strain came from. Acid-fast mycobacteria have been around forever. And, in the wild-strains, modern medicines are effective. It's when people start to feel better and stop taking their meds that these strains evolve. As each case of resistant bug spreads from person to person, the TB becomes more resiliant to the chemical assault of the new drugs. The point is: Take all drugs as directed for the full course!
