Very interesting. I work as a global compliance officer for a large multi-national. Traditionally we have struggled to comply let alone exceed new standards. Also the emerging markets are looking to the US model of globalised compliance. Certainly awareness is growing that difficult compliance is like having a loaded gun you can use at any time you need some leverage.
