  • what primer did you use befor the airbrush ?

  • where did u buy your makeup palette from???

  • What shade of mac face and body should I mix with the HD cream foundations to make them a liquid? Does it matter?

  • I have problems cleaning my foundation brush since I'm using a very thick cream foundation (Physician's Formula). is there anything you can suggest to help? also, is the graftobian palette noncomedogenic? that's always a huge factor for me

  • Wow very helpful

  • you are amazing

  • love this video.. will be buying

  • i was wondering i know with the creme foundation and concealer your use the spatula but how do you do it with the powder on clients?? just wondering :)

  • @ericagord I think you just use a brush like you normally would on yourself. Powder products do not get as contaminated with germs as cream products. Just clean it with a wipe after every use :)

  • Does MAC seel the mixing medium anymore? I tried looking on thier website but no luck. Do you know if this is can still be found in stores?

    Thanks! :)

  • @yalcaraz Mac face and body mixing medium is a pro item. You can only find it at a pro store or you can call their 1800 number to order over the phone. hope this helped :)

  • @erieli1305 oh really? thanks for the lovely tip!!

  • This is a really fantastic, detailed tutorial. EXACTLY what I was looking for... thank you so much!!

  • You are so helpful, love your videos. Is there another way to thin out the cream foundations without the mixing medium? will moisterizer work?

  • i REALLY appreciate these series for MUA's. please keep them coming.

  • @azucarmorena5000 me too!

  • now im buying it all :p this videos great <3

  • Oh I hate when I watch a foundation video and when they start I think "Oh that foundation looks really good, she's flawless!" And then they say "I have no makeup on" grrrrrr

  • is Graftobian similar to cover fx? it seems to be very pigmented.. does Graftobian have good staying powder?

  • Ok I can get not wanting germs in your face products, but for eye shadows I don't see the biggie, and I'm a Major germ freak.

  • On an NC 40 and above, would the orange color concealer go ashy on them?

  • Hey Ren. Just wanted to thank you for your video. I have just started doing makeup for photo shoots & was shopping around for foundations that weren't going to cost me the earth & your vid was extremely helpful. thank you again.

  • Ren, what else can you use as a mixing medium if you don't have MAC's?

  • hi. what graftobian foundation you use? is it warm, cool or neutral?

  • wow!! i have to say I actually learn the most from you, more than any other guru! i appreciate you & youre sooo talented! thank you for this video!

  • Hi. You inspired me to by the palettes and i was wondering what is an alternative for the mixing medium because there are no MACPRO stores in hawaii.

  • could you tell me what the shade u used is called so i can order a bigger one of just that shade?]thanks :P

What palette would you recommend for a caramel tone NC45?

Warm palette 2 or 3? Thanks!!

  • ok question and im asking because i dont know so anyone that reads this dont think im being rude or hating on her...when you said that double dipping in the creme palette will contaminate it that doesnt applie with the powder? because you double dipped the powder just wondering im not hating i promise.

  • where can you buy those palette knifes?!

  • is the mixing medium white? Does it make the color of foundation lighter if it is white? Sorry i know stupid question.

  • Hi Ren, what colours do you have in your cheek colour palette?

  • hi ren, what is a good replacement for the MAC face and body mixing medium? :) my the MAC store here in the Philippines doesn't carry that mixing medium. thanks!

btw, this was very informative! :)

  • Awesome video! I'm having a hard time matching my own skin tone with the large warm palette. It's so frustrating! But I think now I will try some powders because I have a slight pink tone. Thanks for the info.

  • Is there another way to thin put the cream foundation besides using the Mixing Medium Face and Body?

  • hi , I cant purchase the mixing medium in muy country but i have the graftobian palette , can I mix it with a cetaphil moisturiser ?

  • I was wondering what drugstore foundations you thought were the best?

  • This was super helpful, thank you for doing these videos. I really appreciate them :)

    Also, you look great :)

    x

  • this video is super informative :D

  • Is the powder palette you used your own personal palette? You double dipped in it several times so I was curious.

  • Oh man I have got to get that palette!

  • this was great, i laughed when you were like"if you are a little more advanced b/c youve been watching youtube videos and doing our friends makeup" lol thats so me

  • Instead of the MAC mixing medium, Can you use water to thin out the cream foundation. MAC foundations always break me out! Or is there any other alternative? Thanks!!

  • Hi Ren! this was a really good video. I don't have the Graftobian but i have the Cinema Secrets pallets. I really want the Graftobian one, i dont have the mixing medium but is there anything else besides that to thin out the foundation? I always end up wasting half of the foundation that i mix. love love this video.

    thanks

    Mita

  • Hey Ren how are you love this video you are so pretty you dont even need makeup you should do the 5 minute makeup look again.

  • Hey Ren, thank you so much for doing this video. I watched your video last year on the Grafobian palette. I got it and love it for my clients. Thanks to you! Your awesome...:-)

  • Where did you get the palette knives?

  • HOW CONFUSING !!!

  • I've got to say that even though your skin looks good with foundation, it looks great without it!

  • @MyBabyBugsy hey chica, i think one of the cream foundations would work with you...use a flat brush to tap and push the product into the skin..do not swipe or else you'll lose coverage. then take a puff and push a powder into the skin to set.

  • i'm going to try and find someone who will let me make them over who has bad skin to start with...problem is that no one wants to show the "before" lol

  • @MakeupByRenRen I'd love to volunteer, too bad I'm in Sydney! I have rosacea which means very red patches on both cheeks, around the jaw area and on the apples. I find that Graftobian cream foundation will cover them, but will make me look ashy and too made up. Do you have any tips for me? Thanks

  • @MakeupByRenRen i would lol

  • your face without makeup looks amazing!

i love your videos, you are so different from the others gurus, you're so professional!

keep up the great work renren!

    kisses from argentina!!! :)

  • very useful, thanks

  • How is the skincare benefits of the graftobian, will it make me break out, is it cloggy, is it safe for everyday use?

  • i like those palletes they seem like it would be a good investment

  • thanks for the video, very informational

  • Will you do a series on How to: the makeup artist way!? That'd be awesome

  • thanks so much for this vid!!!

  • hey ren can you do a vid on matching the foundations more..i would love to know what is the best way..im just starting out and need some help..i feel like that's the hardest thing. thanks ren..love ur vids and blog

  • your skin is looking great lately, what skincare products do you use? thanks for sharing :)

  • @WendyGigi228 thanks chica! I still use my Jan Marini skincare regimen...i've cut down on reviewing skincare products for other companies because my skin just kept freaking out so I stick with what works

  • Hey Ren! Question : I know you said blend the foundation into the hairline, but what do you do for your Black female clients when getting the makeup into their hair would be problematic because of the wetting their hair in order to clean t it out?

  • @KellyJelly9976 getting it into the hairline doesnt mean that the product will actually get in the hair and mess it up if done properly. just make sure your clients hair is pulled back and be extra careful when applying foundation to that area and there shouldnt be a problem=)

  • Very nice!

  • omg. I love this! You are soooo great! I have learned sooo much from you. Thank you.

  • Hi Ren! This was super helpful. I already have the cream HD palette for clients but will need to pick up the mixing medium now! Also, I have the 12 shades Graftobian powder foundation palette and it changes the foundation color when I try to set it. It turns kind of ashy. Do you have an idea of what I'm doing wrong? It would be a perfect match with the cream but when I try to finish it's totally wrong. =/

  • @CestLaVy216 hey chica...make sure to match the same undertones with the powders...a tip to help correct ashyness is to apply a warm bronzer powder all over...i highly recommend the NYC bronzers!

  • @CestLaVy216 i agree! i already have this palette now i need to get the mac's mixing medium!

  • After watchig this video I wanna purchase the palettes now!!

  • Hey RenRen! I have a huge problem with acne and redness can you do a tutorial for what's best to cover that up? Thanks!

  • 9:20 "so my face had the spf all up on it" (lol)

  • I have more of a round face & contouring doesnt seem to suit me? Contouring isnt for everyone right?

  • @babyfresa04 you have to contour your face according to your face shape....i would practice and come up with something you're comfortable with.

  • Good Tut!!!

    xoxoxo

  • Omg that is concealer from heaven I NEED that pallette in my life loll

  • Ur skin is still looking amazing. Are you still using Jan Marini and eating clean?

  • Wow, you're pretty even without makeup, and good job on the vid!

  • i reeallly like this line. it seems superr nice . but ugh my parents have issues with online ordering. could you maybe like get one of your friends or someone with bad skin and do the ssame thing on them..? because i want to see what it looks like on someone with not so flawless skin like urself. because i have really bad skin which kinda sucks ahaha

  • I thought you already had foundation on at the beginning. lol you have great skin. jealous!

  • I was wondering what primer did you use??

  • @Chunkynumber18 in this video i used the prime time by bare escentuals...it was a christmas gift from the BF

  • Apparentely I don't watch you videos enough because I've been subscribed to you for awhile, and I finally just figured out you're definentely my favorite guru.(: You have such great tips, and you're a beautiful girl!(:

  • @DollFaceHottie aww thanks hon!

  • Great job promoting these products and I loved the tutorial!!!

  • This was very helpful. Thanks for sharing :)

  • my skin has tons of little bumps. it seems like no matter what technique or foundation i use, it won't ever look smooth or dewey... i think you should do a foundation tutorial on a client with bad skin.

  • @c41762 Try using african black soap. Its great for skin.

  • @a75white I use it every night and I love it. 2 thumbs up!!

  • @c41762 unfortunately makeup can't really fix face texture...you can cover up discoloration but when it comes to bumps you'll need to see a skincare specialist for that

  • Thanks for the demostration.

  • Very thorough and insightful! Thanks for sharing :)

  • Great tips,thanks Ren!

  • Hey Ren! Thanks for this video! I have the warm palette, concealor and creme blush palette. Your tips were very helpful! Im going to pick up a Mac face and body mixer to thin out the foundations. Thanks :)

  • @DreamsBeautiful you're going to like it! it's not oily like how moisturizer can get and it makes makeup more smudgeproof

  • have u every done a natural look? (: thanks!

  • @Lavenderbelleful i've actually done a lot of natural looks...take a look through some of my vids...everyday makeup tutorials...bridal looks...etc.

  • i know you were emphasizing being sanitary so i was wondering if it is unsanitary to double-dip in powder.

  • @cacacath it's not unsanitary because powder doesn't hold bacteria...it's only on the top surface which is easily swiped off with a tissue, or you can do what I like to do...which is just spritz it with the Beauty So Clean Sanitizer Spray.
