david chase stated that the ending simply shows how life will "more than likely continue for Tony but as always he will be dealing with the constant paranoia of the chance of dying. Basically, Chase left the ending up to the viewer. We can make our own conclusions but i believe that Tony will continue on. Paulie might be up to something but he will meet his demise b 4 tony.
