  • BRAVO !!! BRAVISSIMO !!!

  • Someone have the lyrics??

  • My mother used to sing this to me as a lullaby.

  • @walkingkodi Really??? How could you sleep with this energetic song?

  • Simply delicious.

  • I have 3 recordings of Triumphans, all three make me weep for the lack of vision and passion! I want...no...I NEED for Marcon and his orchestra and singers to record this for the World to finally hear this piece of heaven the way Vivaldi meant it to be heard and felt! Can any other artist today have as much understanding of Vivaldi as Marcon? Very clearly not. Bravo!!! And, of course, BRAVA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @omnimodis0403 I know personally and privately Mr.Marcon; I will revert him your comment sure that he will appreciate it a lot! Thks on his behalf

  • @omnimodis0403 Why? Don't you appreciate Gauvin's or Bartoli's rendering?

  • 1) This woman sounds like Heaven on Earth.

    2) IT'S TOO FAST. EVERYONE STOP PLAYING VIVALDI AS IF YOU ARE BEING CHASED BY A PACK OF RABID PIT BULLS IN FIGHTER JETS, PLEASE.

  • she is the best in this Aria^^

  • to compare is SO lame ...to each it's own .

  • Brava

  • astounding!

  • Je préfére Cecilia Bartoli !!!

  • voice is good, but her face.....God, WHAT is it when she sing passage???.....

  • @TheNattella

  • @piroszhog HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHA LMFAO!!!!!

  • i saw this performance in paris in may 2009, same performers. the gallic audience went wild after gauvin sang this, and yes we clapped our hands sore. it was a singular life experience that i thought i'd never see again, so this is a gift to see once more on youtube.

  • I can't say that this interpritation of "Armatae face et anguibus" more better than Cecilia Bartoli. Bartoli more cool

  • This is WAAAAAAY better than Cecilia Bartoli. She should be paying you for lessons.

  • Could somebody please let Miss Gauvin that she is singing an Baroque oratorio aria not Stride la vampa

  • BRAVOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what a voice!! thank you for uploading.

    Love & Peace

  • vagaus è un eunuco, non un guerriero...

  • Vivaldi muste be crawling out of his tomb to kill this dead bitch!

  • @dopepenguin88 that's a little too agressive

  • @dopepenguin88

Vivaldi must be crawling out of his tomb because of your rudeness... apparently liking classical music doesn't have to be proof of any sense of civilization... i hope you show some more humanity in your profession.

  • Karina Gauvin is such a wonderful singer. Her coloratura flows so beautifully. Her tone is so warm and gorgeous. Andrea Marcon and the Venice Baroque Orchestra

are also terrific. I would have given anything in the world to have been in that audience!

  • Who's best? Gauvin or Bartoli?

  • @Berokymilk bartoli! <3

  • GRACIAS POR DIFUNDIR DE ESTA MANERA UNA DE LAS PIEZAS MAS SUBLIMES DE VIVALDI!!

  • Comment removed

  • @enzerinckful rude...but so appropiate hehe

  • @tetrazzini

She is not rude...This is a 'stormy' aria and has to be sung in this way...It's his spirit!

Search on YT Haendel's aria 'Lascia ch'io pianga' sung by Gauvin and then tell me if she is rude!

  • @tetrazzini You misunderstood my comment, "rude" was about enzerinckfull's comment, definitely not about Karina Gauvin's wonderful singing ! I love her appropriate fury in this aria

  • @tetrazzini

lol what did he say the comment is now removed xD im so curious..

  • @enzerinckful jajajaja

  • Fantastico! Extraordinario!

  • !!!!!!!!!!

  • I like Magdadalena Kozena ....but this pouwerfol women is also fantastich here .."Brava"'.

  • AMAZING, all coloraturas are very clear but sung legato, great great job !

  • one of the more surprising oratorios born from the hand of il prette rosso, it was premiered in Venice in 1716, it narrates the struggle of the jewish people against Holofernes and his death at the hands of Judith, excellent performance by this soprano

  • brava - I adore it !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What about Roberta Invernizzi?? i like it more...

  • @nadir22df Indeed Roberta Invernizzi is better than Gauvin on this aria, and they are on equal conditions, because the cd where Roberta sung this aria was a live recording

  • Tecnica perfetta!

  • "Armatae face" by Magdalena Kozena is better

  • Wow! Brilliant!

  • She deserves that applause and more!!!

  • Wonderful actress and singer, excellent technique. She has everything. Also very musical and beautiful timbre. Very inspiring to watch her perform!

  • had i been there i would have clapped my hands sore and screamed BRAVAAAAAAA with my lungs out!!

This performance as far as I'm concerned enters the Olympus of Opera with Callas' Armida, Sutherland's Lucia, Moser's Queen of the Night, Price's Aida, Caballé's Lucrezia, Devia's Sonnambula etc etc.

  • @eradesso in comparison to Cecilia Bartoli... i wouldnt have :/ Vivaldi muste be crawling out of his tomb to kill this dead bitch!

  • @dopepenguin88

funny I think Bartoli is singing like a screetching witch... but that's my personal opinion, if you like Bartoli no problem for me...

  • Comment removed

  • @eradesso in that etcetera are you included Gurebova's Devereux? Ihiihihihihhi

  • WOW WOW WOW! Incredible singer! <3

  • Sehr schön wie immer

    Danke

    5*
