Where is this!!!!!!! (hez all like "would you like me to show you on the rifle" that's kinda awesome) thank you nutnfancy for constantly supplying very informative yet entertaining videos keep up the awesome job!!
Museum Replicas now has it where you can design your own sword and they will give you a price on making it. I would love to see Leatherman do this. I find that all the features I want are usually spread between two tools with some things I could do without.
i admire leathermans attempt at branching out into new territory with the MUT but tbh i dont p[particularly like it, doesnt seem as clean or as solid as original leathermans such as a blast or wave, the hammer/strap cutter extension bit is a little off putting for my taste.
The first pocket knife I ever bought was a Leatherman e33t a year and a half ago. Nutnfancy's right, it is a bit of a thick tool. But the blade has great jemping on the spine, and it's actually pretty good for cutting cardboard, one of the best cardboard cutters of all of my knives, which now nearing 20 (I've become addicted to knives).
Also, my job requires me to use my leatherman in pretty rough conditions. Almost everything I do hands on at work, I use a leatherman. I only owned the Wave and the Juice. The Juice just didn't stand up (I got it wanting something lighter). The aluminum scales all but fell off, and the scissors where horribly loose. On the other hand, the Wave is almost perfect. You can look at it to admire the build and design quality. Tough as nails The bit kit tops it off. Can't wait to try the Wingman.
nutnfancy acted either slightly drunk or just naturally arrogant, cutting the guy off to show how smart *think* you are. Don't know. Remember, nutn, you are an armchair quarterback. Running out in the woods shooting once in a while doesn't make you a player. You are a weekend warrior. Still the guy at the stand kept his cool and still gave his boy the autograph. The real man. If it was me, the signature woulda been flying out the car window.
The MUT looks freaking awesome! I just ordered 1 after mulling it over for 2 weeks and decided I like the looks, the included tools (hammer, strap cutter, etc) and ruggedness. Looks like you could torque it pretty hard and it'll keep truckin, unlike say the Skeletool (which looks cool but not as robust). Makes me want an AR15 to go with it now!!! HAHAHA
I wish they would come out with a series where you could just build your own tool...kinda like a "lego tool". They have some good tools but i have yet to see one that combines all the features i want in one tool :(
I'm sold on the clamshell opener. I carry a Gerber Octane for that. Although I like the Octane, tons of problems with it, but it has that clamshell opener and I'm a massive consumer and that really is the star of the show.
I love leatherman multi-tools they seem to be reliable and affordable tools and love the bits you can buy that come in handy with low weight and size makes me feel comfortable to carry them on my person! What is going ON with the 5 Giveaways i am interested in which ones and how to enter.
Nice look at the various multi tools. Yes a bit rude at times. Brian should have thrown that Victorinox across the room when you set it down on the table, that would have been funny. Fatherman.........LOL. Last thing, next time try and keep the FN camera still!!!! I had a headache for a week. Out.
I'm surprised you don't give the Skeletool any love. Sure, it doesn't have scissors, but the blade alone ticks all of the usual nutnfancy boxes: high-quality steel, good belly, one-handed deployment, and a tight locking mechanism. It doesn't pack all of the tools of the Wave, but it's also 3.5 oz lighter (usually another big pro), and I honestly can't remember the last time I needed a hole punch or steel file.
I'm not saying it's perfect, just that it shouldn't be dismissed so quickly.
complimentary to another comment which put critiques on this video while it's a good one, I'm thinking that you could organize the vid in 2-3 series, tabletop review by the booth fella, shoot at the booth (whatever around, presentation video or chat) and you own brief thought on the product, etc. This vid kinda mixup, and I know it's ur vid and you can do anything you want, just a little suggestion.
Nice vid. I did not like the part about Victorinox - your're at LM's booth... Still I'll never buy this swiss crap. Victorinox will never beat LM - simply because you can't beat what is the best.
Why do you refer to wingman and sidekick as heavy duty MTs?
I love the new Squirt PS4. I had the old P4 and always wish it had scissors so I am so happy with the new PS4, Awesome job Leatherman!!! Please keep this model around for years to come it is perfect!. I used to have to carry around the Juice for Scissor capability now I have the PS4 when I want to scale down in weight. You honestly cannot feel it in your pocket. Perfect for when I have to wear a suit around. I can't say enough Great Job!
scissors? scissors?? we don't need no stinking scissors!! its funny, watched a 2 yr old nutnfancy vid and he was going on about scissors!! LOL great vid! in honor of your hard work nutn, the computer geek community has just changed "cut and paste" to "scissor and paste"! congrats nutn!!
Agree, poor Leatherman guy. Nutnfancy came off as a bit arrogant in this one. I don't get how a versatile tool to take care of the M4 is too heavy for a normal ground troop and you need a vehicle to transport the extra 11 oz, lol.
@TacticalMichigan Have to agree TM, he may not be inhaling, but definitely starting to swallow. Give me a pen, let me sign something... Sorry NF, love the service you provide, just a talking point.
I have to agree with the folks mentioning all the interruptions. I would like to add the more important problem of camera work. You are all over the place, these are the "Blair Witch" of gear reviews. I look forward to a return to the steady, informative reviews of the past...
Nice quality review. But why so rude to this guy? Just let him talk. Don't need to interrupt him and you could tell it really made him uncomfortable when you brought up the victorinox and the fact that you don't need some of those tools. You can keep it real while keeping it nice. Looking forward to other great reviews.
I am that Leatherman fan with that knife. However, I wish you could have yelled at him about discontinuing the c302 and c303. The Expanse series doesn't compare.
The lower cost is definitely an exciting prospect! I'd like a Leatherman one of these days, but I'm kinda picky about which one I want. In fact, the MUT looks right up my alley. I'd look at the Wingman/Sidekick as a gift option for folks who are hankering for an MT!
Have had a Leatherman WAVE for a few years now. An exceptionally useful tool. The only complaint I have is the sheath. The leather one that came with it has had the stitching come apart 2 times. Bought a nylon replacement and the velcro seems to wear out too soon with the result being the tool falling on the ground and loosing it.
Love leatherman, and not just because it' takes ten minutes to drive there. Brad rocked the review. Scissors are nice, but I've never myself been in a situation where the knife blade couldn't get the same job done. Combo blades suck, I've never needed nor wanted a serrated blade, but some officers I've talked to liked them. I use the bottle opener almost every day on my skeletool cx. Those tools are great, and I'm still trying to decide which will be my next MT! Thanks nutn.
I think the Juice S2 is alright. But the Juice CS4 is so much cooler with the corkscrew, while keeping those awesome scissors. I may need to pick up one of those new squirts though. I currently LOVE my Squirt S4 on my keys.
Great vid. Great Company. I have many Leatherman multitools that I just love. Also from looks of the booth review there are some that I need to get now(squirt).
Sidekick looks sick! Props to Leatherman for making the new squirt with the pliers AND scissors -- awesome. Great vid I was waiting for the Leatherman booth review!
I disagree with your comment, Nutnfancy. Leatherman is NOT one of the standards in multitools. It's THE Standard in multitools. Who else offers locking blades in 154CM and S30V steels?
Dito what styme and mrniceonline said...I felt bad for the Leatherman rep..you kept interupting him and seemed overall sorta rude to him...and he was hosting you in his booth...he was super nice...but Nutn needed to work on being more gracious to his host...
Hey, Nutn...I don't think the primary blade of the Wave is made of 154CM ...I think it's just 420HC...the same thing as the new Sidekick and Wingman. Don't think material costs are a factor.
the funny thing is i just got a wave 2 days before this. i do have the st 300 and the charge tti,,,, i sawed a jacked up bumper off my car with it. : )
Thanks for the great review, and I am glad you finally at least mentioned the skeletool. I have carried one almost every day for at least 2 years now and I honestly can't think of one time that I missed having scissors. I'm just saying ...
Dude over time you have become really annoying. You talk to much (trash) and the way you interupt people while they explain stuff to you doesn't show much respect for these people. It's a pity because I used to like your reviews...back in the days.
@mrniceonline i think you overeact. There is respect, it's just a comfortable situation. And i think, cmon these people need respect but they re still salesmen! They just want to sell.I m not interested ONLY about their talking i m interested about Nutn's review, just want to hear this and this and that not everything.I could go myself to leatherman but ofcourse i m not that good in reviews.
@anestischatzibeis It's not just him. I've seen it, he has, and others as well. The humility has gone out the window. I get the sense that Nutn feels like he is honoring them. Instead he is the guest in their booth and should act with class and respect. That doesn't me that he can't be honest or can't ask questions. It just means that it should be done in a way that is graceful. I would love to see a return to the humbler Nutn.
@Mrcaffinebean i cannot disagree with you.maybe you re right, but its ok i m watching these reviews just to decide things..don't care about rude and stuff. But you re right i think. Its just that i dont see Nutn as a role model or something to be disapointed if he s changing his attitude.I like his reviews, like his interest in blades and guns, jealous the fact that in Usa youn can have .22 or 308 weapons so easily but in Greece its sooo forbiden. His attitude is ok with youtubers so thats what i like
Did he mention that some of these have Hammers, now that would be very handy for Tent Pegs. I did not catch all the dialogue because of all the talking by different individuals.
Some of the loose Drivers could easily be lost on Camping trips.
I would like to see Leatherman making a Camping and Biking as in Cycling specific Multi Tool. Maybe a small Hammer,Chain splitting Tool and some Allen Keys and Spanners as well as the Pliers Saw and Phillips special and flat Screwdriver.
i have the Leatherman Wave in black and it comes with that sheath and i must say its by far the best leatherman/multi-tool i have ever owned......If you dont have a leatherman then get one
I have respect for this channel but ntnfancy was very rude during the interview..he just can't shut up for even 3 seconds, and constantly interrupted the conversation
I have a Style CS that I have been carrying since the day my local knife shop got them in (3/4 of a year now), and I love it. I have found the carabiner to be great for hooking it to a belt loop (only front or side belt loops though; for some reason it always falls off if I hook it onto a back loop). It makes a great companion for the Squirt P4 that I also carry.
@NoClassic They offer a little more precision than a blade for some tasks, but I've never felt that it is 100% necessary. I'd rather have a blade and no scissors than scissors and no blade. Given the option to have both, though, I would take it.
Just ordered my little sister a pink Style for a graduation present because of this booth review. She's not really into the whole preparedness thing, so she doesn't need a big multi-tool, but I'm sure she can find a use for a blade, scissors, screwdriver, file and tweezers. Especially when it comes in such a tiny package!!! I'm sure someday she'll thank me for it when it "saves the day" ;)
I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I WAS THAT YOU POSTED THIS VID!!! I LOVE ME SOME LEATHERMANS!!!!!! I carry a leatherman juice with me whenever Im not at school. I wish i could carry it to school :(
I hope Leatherman does not lose site of the BASICS! Some of the offerings here are a bit contrived - in my opinion. Thank you Nutn! love the booth reviews, as always...well done.
I've had my MUT for about 4 months now and I absolutely LOVE it. I was always a Gerber user as a mechanic in the Army, but the MUT is now always in the pack now, primarily for use on my weapons. The Gerber remains my beater tool.
It's awesome how Nutnfancy stays fair and gives his honest opinon of things, even in the manufacturer's presence. That's one of the main things that keeps me 'comin. Rock on, dudes/dudettes!
Great review, as always... My Charge Ti has become indispensable to me. As you progressed through the different models in the review, I kept picturing friends and family members that could really utilize a specific feature set. I think half of my Christmas shopping is already done!
How does this not have 1000's of views already?! Dude, PS4 squirt is Perfect with a capital "P". Nutn man you are the best brother. You have the gift from God to speak with people. Love your wisdom, ability to examine invisible detail and humor. Like when you said that guy looks motivated. Lol!! Ha me laughing out loud.
@nutnfancy Why do you prefer the blade w/ less belly over the wingman version that has significant belly. You have dozens of reviews where you say that you like belly on your EDC blades.
@nutnfancy Thank you so much for another SHOT show booth review. I can't wait for your booth reviews from the 2012 SHOT show, seriously! Keep on keeping it real in the reviews, and thanks for all of your work and dedication to "the project".
Great review! I'm goin' to take a serious look at the Wingman & Sidekick. I've had an Original Leatherman Supertool since the mid '90's. I won't ever get rid of it. Thanks for posting. TNP ROCKS!
I don't know if it has been mentioned yet but I see the Wingman and Sidekick being really popular for bug out bags and the such. Not everyone that wants a lightweight (7oz. are you kidding me?!) mid size MT for each setup can afford multiple Charges that they would never get to use because they're tied up in a system.
That being said, the combo blade is sort of a deal breaker for me (100% personal preference, I hate them). I own a wave and like Nutn said, the blade is just amazing.
using the bronze scraper as a pry bar and then bad mouthing it??? its soft metal for a reason its for scraping carbon off your gun with out scratching it....
(great review Nutnfancy, not too good with the shaky camera but all those awesome products, the focus on the details, the PFI Family, the wonderful Leatherman guy AND the lack of chocolate make it really great in the end)
although the new sidekick and wingman are not my cup of tea, i think its awesome that leatherman can produce an American made and affordable multi tool to the common person. the Wave is far superior to both and is my favorite edc tool =] all and all good job expanding the market Leatherman
@jeffersoncompany Well the wave kind of already has all of that, but yeah. I agree I wish there were more variations similar to the wave. It's weight is awesome for the amount of tools it has. I haven't seen anything here that really upends the wave or blast for me.
just got a wingman 5 hours or so ago. so far, it kicks ass. no major issues.

Great vid. Great Company. I have many Leatherman multitools that I just love. Also from looks of the booth review there are some that I need to get now(squirt).
Keep it up Nutn

Sidekick looks sick! Props to Leatherman for making the new squirt with the pliers AND scissors -- awesome. Great vid I was waiting for the Leatherman booth review!
csrob6620 10 months ago
I disagree with your comment, Nutnfancy. Leatherman is NOT one of the standards in multitools. It's THE Standard in multitools. Who else offers locking blades in 154CM and S30V steels?
glutn4punshmnt 10 months ago
Dito what styme and mrniceonline said...I felt bad for the Leatherman rep..you kept interupting him and seemed overall sorta rude to him...and he was hosting you in his booth...he was super nice...but Nutn needed to work on being more gracious to his host...
SHEMH2004 10 months ago
Hey, Nutn...I don't think the primary blade of the Wave is made of 154CM ...I think it's just 420HC...the same thing as the new Sidekick and Wingman. Don't think material costs are a factor.

It's a pity because I used to like your reviews...back in the days.

crashin1 10 months ago
@mrniceonline i think you overeact. There is respect, it's just a comfortable situation. And i think, cmon these people need respect but they re still salesmen! They just want to sell.I m not interested ONLY about their talking i m interested about Nutn's review, just want to hear this and this and that not everything.I could go myself to leatherman but ofcourse i m not that good in reviews.
anestischatzibeis 10 months ago
@anestischatzibeis It's not just him. I've seen it, he has, and others as well. The humility has gone out the window. I get the sense that Nutn feels like he is honoring them. Instead he is the guest in their booth and should act with class and respect. That doesn't me that he can't be honest or can't ask questions. It just means that it should be done in a way that is graceful. I would love to see a return to the humbler Nutn.
Mrcaffinebean 10 months ago 3
@Mrcaffinebean i cannot disagree with you.maybe you re right, but its ok i m watching these reviews just to decide things..don't care about rude and stuff. But you re right i think. Its just that i dont see Nutn as a role model or something to be disapointed if he s changing his attitude.I like his reviews, like his interest in blades and guns, jealous the fact that in Usa youn can have .22 or 308 weapons so easily but in Greece its sooo forbiden. His attitude is ok with youtubers so thats what i like
anestischatzibeis 10 months ago

What can a scissor do that a blade can not?
NoClassic 10 months ago
@NoClassic Trim a mustache, cut fingernails easily, cut small strings close to clothing, etc...
srvvlhm 10 months ago
@NoClassic They offer a little more precision than a blade for some tasks, but I've never felt that it is 100% necessary. I'd rather have a blade and no scissors than scissors and no blade. Given the option to have both, though, I would take it.
fidgetingfinch 10 months ago
Glad you covered the Leatherman booth. I like how many choices they have out there so you're not limited to having tools you'll never use on your MT.

when are the new tools comin out?...and thanks for the video
TheEagleye92 10 months ago
Just ordered my little sister a pink Style for a graduation present because of this booth review. She's not really into the whole preparedness thing, so she doesn't need a big multi-tool, but I'm sure she can find a use for a blade, scissors, screwdriver, file and tweezers. Especially when it comes in such a tiny package!!! I'm sure someday she'll thank me for it when it "saves the day" ;)

@GDLutz You could always look into the Knifeless Fuse for school carry.

@imac8175 I have thought about that before, but my school probably wouldn't allow any sort of multitool. Their JERKS!!

JAYDEE44 10 months ago
@nutnfancy Why do you prefer the blade w/ less belly over the wingman version that has significant belly. You have dozens of reviews where you say that you like belly on your EDC blades.

Great review! I'm goin' to take a serious look at the Wingman & Sidekick. I've had an Original Leatherman Supertool since the mid '90's. I won't ever get rid of it. Thanks for posting. TNP ROCKS!
oyarrito 10 months ago
I don't know if it has been mentioned yet but I see the Wingman and Sidekick being really popular for bug out bags and the such. Not everyone that wants a lightweight (7oz. are you kidding me?!) mid size MT for each setup can afford multiple Charges that they would never get to use because they're tied up in a system.
That being said, the combo blade is sort of a deal breaker for me (100% personal preference, I hate them). I own a wave and like Nutn said, the blade is just amazing.

@lauig... no, PFI stands for Professional Firearms Instruction
Fight2GetPaid 10 months ago
Does the P in PFI stands for Pink ?
(great review Nutnfancy, not too good with the shaky camera but all those awesome products, the focus on the details, the PFI Family, the wonderful Leatherman guy AND the lack of chocolate make it really great in the end)
lauig 10 months ago
although the new sidekick and wingman are not my cup of tea, i think its awesome that leatherman can produce an American made and affordable multi tool to the common person. the Wave is far superior to both and is my favorite edc tool =] all and all good job expanding the market Leatherman
chrishoyt161718 10 months ago
The "Leatherman nutnfancy special edition" multitool should be a pair of scissors with fold out tools, blades and pliers. :D
What an entertaining booth review! Thanks, nutn, PFI, and Fatherman!
jeffersoncompany 10 months ago
@jeffersoncompany Well the wave kind of already has all of that, but yeah. I agree I wish there were more variations similar to the wave. It's weight is awesome for the amount of tools it has. I haven't seen anything here that really upends the wave or blast for me.
