soo uuhm Redness and excessive tearing is normal?? As far as colored contacts also depending on the design og the contact blurriness and increased light sensitivity is also normal plus slight pain and I experienced all of these trying on contacts for the first time like i said colored contacts and after wearing 3 times I went to the eye doctor just for a check up and I didn't ell him about the contacts because I dont wear them 24 7 at most 3 times a week. AND NOTHING was WRONG 20 20 vision!
The woman turned the faucet off with her hands, then dried them, then touched the lens. Her hands were not clean when she turned the faucet on. Not to mention her family members who took a shit, then turned the faucet on. Turn the faucet off with a clean towel.
She also tapped the lens case on the sink. Beyond belief.
I just hate contacts. I wore them for twenty years. Developed neovascularization and irritation. I've worn glasses for four years now, never been happier.
@ZombieCrazy100 get a friend of a family member that knows how to wear them to help you, because some people cant put it on unless osmeone helped them,if the friend or family member helped you at least 3 times wearing them it will be easier to wear them and the first time wearing them by yourself is hard.but you will get used to it and it will get really easy.
@ BeautyHealthZoneBlog thank you so much for your reply. i was pretty freaked out after i watched this video so i booked an appointment with an eye specialist. he said that i didn't have any kind of infection and he just suggested i not wear my lenses for a longer period of time. But i thought my contacts were extended wear and i bought them especially because i had to wear them for longer periods of time. guess i was robbed :(
I use the hydrogen peroxide solution....Works better than multi purpose solution for me personally.
I used to use a daily cleaner as well to get rid of dirt on the lenses, saline to rinse and then in the case with the metal at the botoom and hydrogen solution.
Occasionally, protein remover tablets if wearing them for longer to remove protein on the lenses which can make them uncomfortable.
Contact lens saline to rinse the lenses or blink eyedrops to moisten eyes and avoid discomfort.
Yes, the video is very helpful, but there is no mention of sleeping in your contact lenses and the dangers and risks involved. Would be nice to see a video about that, and also tips for people who wear non-prescription colour contacl lenses.
if you experience redness, you stop using your contact lenses. but what about after the redness goes away can you use the same lenses again. mine are pretty expensive :(
Redness may mean that your eyes are irritated possibly due to prolonged and extensive wear, infection or foreign body in the eye such as dust, eyelash, pollen....Eye redness could indicate that you could also be allergic to contact lens solution. If you have hay fever, this could also be problematic and worse if you wear contacts.
Could mean other things, if you are not sure, it is best to visit optician, optometrist, pharmacist for advice.
man dat happen to me when i was 15 i had dat infection and had to get a coreal transplant on my left eye... now im 19... alreadi had the transplant 2 years ago... will i be able to join the military??
@DemonicRawrRuiz i was wearn contacts and everytime when i see sumthing bright, it would bother my eye. then it started to itch, it made it worse and i had to go the hospital....
@DemonicRawrRuiz is like once you have dat infection they gana replace the corneal not the whole eye.. the corneal is the one dat protects the eyes frm getting dirt or sumthing.. its dat umm lid ... and the person who donates there eyes you dont knw if they had good or bad vision.. so i dont kw.. i had a good vision on my eye.. so basically i have a dead persons coreal.. not the whole eye..hehehe
I´ve been using tapwater to clean out the case because i dont want to run out of the solution... and i dont dry my hands. i DO replace the solution in the case every day though. I haven´t had any problems but im not gonna take any risks
'LAKE' or 'OCEAN'? LMFAO!!!! If I shouldn't use water out of the sink why the heck would I walk up to the lake dip my contacts in? Lol XD Thanks for that! :)
nice video i have been wearing contact lenses for many years, i didnt know about the water exposure was bad . thank you . what about a sauna a wet one is that safe , and can you shower with them in if your eyes are closed i do this, and i havent had any problems. but if im doing something wrong , i would really like to know .
do not let your contact lenses to come in contact with water, wash your hands with soap and water. Wait, if you wash your hands with soap and water you are getting water on your hands and then on your contact lense, what the hell do they mean not get it to contact with water?
Awee fuck. I sometimes re-use the solution, was my case with tap water, and have been using the same case since august.

If you listen carefully, they say: "Wash hands with soap and water, and dry them before handling the lenses."
