i know this is a stupid thing to say but how perfect is your grass lol! were you originally doing running with his dog walk or had you just not trained it? if you were doing RCs can you tell me what made you change to 2o2o? :) x
@modernlagility lol, yeah a lot of the fields around here have really nice grass! We tried Silvia's method for a long time last year, but it didn't work out. Then I experimented with lots of other methods, but nothing seemed to stick. I spent all of last year trying to train a running and though it was fun, I want to run him at Regionals next year, so he'll need contacts for that. Since we didn't have a lot of success with running, I figured that 2o2o is the best way to go for us right now :)
Gah! Wall-E looks like an effin beast! What method are you using to train his DW contacts? I really want to try it with Rush an Mav, Wall-E looks like he has a TON of contact drive!
@SnowBall5291 haha I think he's pretty beast too! :) Thanks! I used Susan Garrett's nose touch method originally, but when I started back-chaining his contacts, he needed more independence. So I started using a more visible food-loaded target. But since November last year, I've been training him with the nose touch method. Awesome method! I did vary from Susan's method a bit, but I was mostly following it.
Thanks for all of your comments!
