An absolutely beautiful colour !!! And the V12 sounds sooo clear, I never thought a 1970s V12 would sound so nice and clear. Superb car, magnificent work, congrats !!!
The most beautiful car ever made. Jay Leno has a series one body with a series three V12 engine. It was custom made for him and you can see it at his web page for his garage. This is my #1 dream car closely followed by a 1958 Cadillac series 62 convertible.
The Yanks and their anal obsession with safety- completely ruined the E-Types beautiful lines. Awful additional clutter that bastardised the aesthetics of the machine. Terrible front oval hoop, awful full rear bumper- STRIP THEM OFF and enjoy the purity of it's lines!
It's so amazing that people are keeping these beauties alive still. They are so stunning, lets hope another generation can be added to the list of appreciators
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Mercedes vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and EFi injectors clean as new!
I like this car so much. I prefer the colour red, like an italian car has. Bu this type is so amazing! If I could buy it, I would do it. Also if I could get a ferrari or lambo!
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old DOHC Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree

Have to agree Kokons, don't think there's ever been a more beautiful car. Those who think the V12 lost essense of the design are entitled to their opinion I guess. For me the Series 3 looks more like they worked away at it for 10 years and finally figured out how to dress it to properly show its beauty. So much more handsome with that nice stylish grille - subtle fender flares & wheels that aren't lost in the wheel wells. Looks a lovely resto Peter - well done. I'm sure you're enjoying it !

Gosh the scenery looks so much like where I'm from uncanny but then the Etype wouldn't be compliant if that was so very nice example
