can somebody please explain to me why this "red bull academy player" isn't just being signed by the red bulls and instead entering the draft? yet the red bulls want to draft him.... why didn't they just sign him? this is why mls is difficult for me to watch... makes no sense to me.
you would think the point of team youth systems would act as a residency for the club.. but what is the point if the team has no control on where he goes.
