  • i always wondered how to eat one..thanks!

  • Thanks for sharing! I think I'll buy some fresh ones to try now that I know how to eat them...

  • Artichoke is probably my favorite vegetables...

  • I came across this fun app that helps you choose what to eat, check it out - it's called noodice.

  • tricky way, i have to cook them for about 45minutes to get them tender by my methode

  • I've always been interested in tasting an artichoke. Can you eat it uncooked? What kind of butter sauce can you recommend to make?

  • Awesome video! I know nothing about how to prepare artichokes, or what parts are even edible, so thanks for the help!

  • try dipping it in lemon olive oil and some sold mixture you'll be amazed;p

  • Very difficult to eat this, huge thing has very tiny bit can eat..

  • do you eat half an artichoke leaf?

  • You're cooler than that Dos Equis beer guy!

  • This is the BEST video I have found on cooking and eating the artichoke, I am allergic to dairy and eggs, so your mustartd, olive oil dip will be great. Thanks.

  • @sechadyl I second that!!! wonderful to see such variety - instead of steaming whole for hours and instead of mayo with parmesan...yum!!!

  • Great video!

  • What are you doing in the kitchen? Thats where your wife is supposed to be.

  • The intro when your sharpening the knives...That would be cool for a horror movie! lol

  • I like that your method makes it so much easier to clean and eat. Thanks

  • wow... that helped me out sooo much!! thank you!

  • wow, how to cook, clean, and eat an Artichoke? Awesome vid.

  • wow very cool video ! I just learned how to cook and eat one of these puppies ! you rock ! peace bro !

  • Why are so many complaining about the prep it takes to eat an artichoke. Good food is worth it-esp. if its healthy! Besides, it is a treat-not something you would do everyday! If you can sit on the couch mindlessly downing junkfood, then you can do this with much more reward and satisfaction! Great vid, btw. Thanks for informing us!

  • Can you eat them raw though too? Just curious...

  • @saulgarcia888 Good luck with that

  • You are so cute:))) I bought today for the first time in my life artichokes and now thanks to you I know how I can cook them.Thank's a lot!

  • Interesting...we've never seen someone do all the work to the choke when it is in it's raw state...thanks for spreading the "artichoke word." - Ocean Mist Farms

  • Artichokes are a great excuse for eating a ton of hollandaise and not feeling guilty... until your pants won't button in the morning.

  • Nice one :)

    thanks for a tutorial ;)

  • It might choke Artie, but it ain't gonna choke Stymie!

  • this is great :)

  • @DarlingTinaSheep glad you enjoyed my video...peace

  • Olive oil and mustard. sounds good but I love ranch.. Do you know of a vegan ranch dressing? Thanks for any ideas, anyone...

  • I have never herd of these intell I was watching a video where people wher eatting them, what do they taste like? thanks for showing me how to perpare. perhaps I'll go see if I can find one to try out.

  • lmfao u sounded like scooby do when u took a tast.lol.

  • Looks great. I'm going to try your artichoke preparation strategy the next time I can find one. Yours seemed divine.

  • This was the most instructive video I found, and believe me, I did a fair amount of Googling. I saw all preparations but I like quartering the artichoke. It just makes sense.

  • Great Video. We stuff the leaves with a Italian-spiced bread and spicy vegan sausage filling and then bake them in a pan with an inch or so of water. Man they are good that way too! You don't use a dip with them, each leaf has a soft bread filling that combines well with the flavor of the artichoke. -- Thanks for showing people what artichokes are! The fresh hearts are so much better than the marinated canned ones.

  • awesome video, i wanted to try an artichoke ever since i was a little kid when i read a story about someone eating 1. i have no idea how to pick a good 1 out or how to cook / eat lol. thank you so much for the video and some insight for my quest!

  • this is how you eat an artichoke!

  • Artichokes are truly the lobsters of the plant kingdom.

  • so what is better? To steam or boil an artichoke or is it the same thing pretty much?

  • great video it was most helpful sir

  • sounds like a good tip, will try it next time i eat chokes...peace...

  • @livelife365: No, they're not gorgeous. More like scary if you ask me. It's like eating a cactus. You have to cut off the sharp leaves so it won't draw blood. Too much of a hassle. Why would anyone eat this plant? Anyway I really appreciate this educational video. Very useful and entertaining. Thanks.

  • loved this video

  • Lol, your mannerisms crack me up. Nice video.

So wait, what's the advantage of quartering them before cooking? Is it just to decrease the cooking time?
