  • I'm now going to go listen to that wonderful Irish song, O Sole Mio. :)

  • the contestant is soooooo marie osmond LOL :D

  • she didn't say "swings on a vine"....she said HE swings on a vine...which is fine given the clue. What does a monkey do? He swings on a vine. NO foul.

  • Vicki Lawrence was made for this show, she did so smooth just like she did on Super Password this past weekend when she helped Jill Roberts win $30,000

Well done for the actress best known as Mama.

  • wait..they had tarzan back then??

  • Was this following the double tie breaker?

  • Yes, it was.

  • "Swings on a vine"...the judge was asleep on that one!

  • Yep. "on a vine" is a prep.. phrase. You can say "a swinging vine."

  • I think the judges allowed that clue based on the way the category was worded. If it was something like "monkey actions", then the buzzer would have sounded (probably). Phrasing something in the form of a "what" or "where" would validate more answers that would use prepositions.

  • PriceRight89: I think, respectfully, that you're being a bit picky. Monkey's do "swing on a vine". That clue may have been descriptive, but not overly so. I think the judges were correct in allowing it.

  • Exactly... that category falls under the same rules as the "What... might say" categories.
