iPad rant. Pointless device?

Thank you, almost everyone I know say that the iPad and iPad 2 are great but ipads are not. The are utterly pointless things that are to big to be a portable device and if your gonna bring something like that to do stuff on have you ever heard of the much better,multitask able, more usable laptop

I don't see the point in the ipad and ipad 2. its just a bigger ipod and a bigger price. you waste a shit load of money on a bigger ipod basicly, and then you go and waste the same amount of money on aps as you did on your ipod or whatever else. plus you waste more money for the added tax. i mean, like, 500 quid for an ipad? seriously? |: pure greed. then another maybe up to 50 goes down the drain on music and apps so.. thats a big waste of money. you could just buy a dell laptop for that.

iphone is awesome facetime is kinda dumb i use it when i need to show someone when they arent home and i jail break mine and i can do it over 3g and i can be anywhere and use facetime to anything with a front camera like the evo and the screen is amazing lot better than any-other phone so just stop hating

I have an iPad and i understand your point, but it really is lush. You wont understand unless you own one. Its nice and small to use instead of a big laptop, and its just as fast. For everyday use such as facebook etc. Its an amazing devuce and i highly recommend it (:

@JackTheGreat237 sure, it's just as fast...because you're using apple/ipad exclusive software in it, software made to run only on the iPad's OS. What if you don't want that software? What if you want to actually install your own like on many regular tablet PCs? Can't. iPad's hardware can't handle it, the OS + is completely incompatible on every level...not to mention, there's not even any interface to install new software, rather you're stuck downloading more apple made apps.

Why do people gobble this Apple stuff up? What is the attraction? I have family with the iphone and they like the internet access a lot. It does make it easy to find restaurants and movie theaters and such, but who cares? Just look it all up before you leave home for god's sake. Dumb. Ipad? No use.

I agree, the ipad is a large ipod touch, with some improvements, but I have neither, so don't care. haha When my contract is up, I'm going with the HTC Evo, simply because the default browser has flash built in. Flash is a big improvement to me. The Evo also has 2 cameras.
