Screw you Brundle!!! The right man didnt win the championship. The entire year was ALL FELIPE MASSA. His Ferrari was fast and constantly quick but reliability and a poor pitstop hampered his chances at the title. Lewis just like this year and 2007 made too may mistakes, and his car wasnt as fast as Massa's. But Belgium 2008 was stupid, Hamilton should have recieved at the most a 5 or 10 second time penalty. But whatever, massa should be world champion and Lewis should not.

This was not "Lewis Hamilton's amazing comeback on Timo Glock", this was Timo Glock losing pace by 16 seconds in the very last lap of the race with worn dry weather tyres on a wet track. I am extremely critical about Timo's conduct during Lap 71 of the 2008 Brazilian Grand Prix, but even without my criticism towards Timo, there is still simply NO reason to admire/celebrate Lewis' performance there AT ALL. He actually LOST a place to Vettel a couple moments before that... And I am no Massa fan...

Lewis Hamilton did NOTHING amazing, on the contrary, he actually lost a position in a proper fight near the end of the race. TG lost a bit more time in the last lap than would be adequate and that GAVE LH the position he needed to win the championship. 1:44 can be done with dry tyres on a wet track USING JUST 7TH GEAR!

@jakubkrcma even if timo would have pitted say 3 laps to the end, hamilton would have probably still got him. it took about 30 seconds for a pit stop then, from entering to exiting the pit lane. lewis was at least 18 seconds behind, maybe 10 seconds at the most more, so he would have done it still.

Also Lewis lost the place to vettel becuase a bmw decided that they would unlap themselves ( i think it was kubica). this forced lewis off the racing line, where there is next to no grip, so yeah

Timo lost over 35 seconds in his last two laps compared to his immediately preceding lap 69. Actually, not only was he the fastest man on the track in laps 67, 68, and 69, but he was getting faster (68 better than 67, 69 better than 68). Had he tried, he'd finish 4th with or without a pit. He gave up.

E.g. from a certain perspective 1988-1989 LOOKS like a close fight between Senna and Prost, while in fact Senna TOTALLY DESTROYED Prost in both years, but had some MASSIVELY bad luck in both years - e.g. Senna had 13 poles to Prost's 2 in 1988 AND AGAIN 13:2 IN 1989!!! In those 32 races, Senna only had 6 non-poles!

Actually, of the 32 races, he was basically the best in every single one (with a SMALL grain of salt). I can answer your question. Glock and Toyota made 2 points from that. Everyone says it was wrong to stay out on dry tyres, but the math says otherwise. By staying on dry tyres while everyone else changed to wets he jumped from 8th place to 6th.

Thats 2 points they got from that gamble. Not to mention scaring the crap out of McLaren :)

Idiot.... the FIA examined all the telemetry data from Toyata and Mclaren, had they found anything remotely suspicious then there wouldve been an inquiry, and Hamilton wouldve lost the title! Obviously u understand very little about F1, Glock & Trulli posted identical last lap times and were around 18 seconds slower on drys. As a reference, @ Spa in similar conditions, Kimi & Lewis were 36seconds per lap slower, both struggled with straight line traction when tyre temp dropped, just as Glock did
