I wish there were more authentic Mexican restaurants in Japan, well I guess there are. But this place is the typical American take on Mexican food and restaurants, full of too much cliche stuff. The music was pretty cliche stuff too.
I think the only reason I like Mexican food is because my mum is Mexican. Now there's a friend of mine who is a full blooded Mexican and he doesn't even like Menudo. That has to be a little strange.
@Arceumon not really, i am a full blooded Mexican and i have had a hard time eating certain Mexican food from a young age. i do not like birria, capirotada, and also menudo. along with some other different foods. so i guess that it wont matter if its your nations cousin, there will always be stuff that you simply do not like. i know this Chinese girl, full blooded that proffers the Chinese food that is sold at Mexicali city, Mexico over the one back on her country.
@Arceumon It doesn't matter the culture you were born into, you can't be expected to like everything. It's like expecting you to like every single food from your culture.
Hey , si quiero a little bit of a chorizo with my sushi then i'll do it! cant wait to go to japan sometime next year...and hell yea am part mexican and asian!..am kind of happy that other asian cultures are takeing notice of spanish or mexican cultures.Bealive it or not we're very much alike to some asian cultures.
well its not surprising to see mexican food there, cuz japanese love so much the mexican culture and the country, youll find mexican restaurants, clothes, and they even make mexican festival dancing traditional mexican dance and more. i visited japan and i saw a lot of mexican stuff and food there.
Would it be possible for a Mexican-American to live in Japan as a Japanese citizen? Because I heard you can't get full citizenship or you can't live there unless you work for 5-10yrs.
It's weird cause in almost all westernized cities there's always A China town, It may not sound weird, but we western ccontries don't go to China and set up a mini Washington, or Brisbane, or Sydney or Miami in China
because for exmaple if your from the states and you go to Japan.. you are looking forward to a Japanese experience not an American one..
And for the China Town part; theres a dense population of that certain ethnicity so they create there own lil version of home. im sure there exsits those kinds of places in the world.. you just dont know about them.
Because even though Japanese food is great, when you live here sometimes you want something that reminds you of home (in my case, the US). This segment was made for Amercian people who live in Japan and eat Japanese food every single day. It is also for Japanese people who want to try something new. Is that a good enough reason? Hopefully that makes it less painful.
You go to Japan for Japanese food not Mexican. That's all I see in texas. I'll be glad to eat traditional Japanese food!

@FelixTheHouseFreak Yeah, I guess you're right. It's not strange to see people take interests in other cultures other than their own anymore.
