@missmellow12 This is just one of those songs that, for whatever reason, really provokes emotion for me. I'm glad to see it came through in my drumming, thanks :)
@FrogenFruiz Yeah, you'd be right, I generally only reply to comments on my latest video(s). But as far as learning a song, this song wasn't learned, it's all improvised. I just learned the structure. When I learn a song that requires accurate interpretation, the key is to listen to it until you know the song inside and out. Then you get on the drum set and go through it once and find out which parts you aren't sure about, and yo listen to those parts meticulously until you figure them out.
@Ericquin6515 It's hard for me XD I really am happy when I'm playing the drums, but I'm so concentrated I probably just look angry :P I look much better live, trust me!
@CoverDrummer94 You look :l and :i the whole video, let it out, open up bro! Smile! If you need an example, watch me on my old band practice video watch?v=pT8FzpKNctg
No, this isn't me wanting more views, this is me passing wisdom to you(:
@Ericquin6515 Naw man, I do open up, it's just that when you're playing only in a basement to an iPod, it's not the same. I have videos of me playing live, I might put them up at some point. I look much happier in those :P
@CoverDrummer94 "Get lost in the music, not the instrument" -Luke holland :D
Remember, there is a camera! Smile your cymbals, once you open your mouth, you actually smile A LOT. I found that out on accident at one of my old band's practice. My mates were like "Dude, you were smiling like a crazy idiot" and i didn't even notice xD
@BlakeMDavis Pork and Beans by Weezer, Wake Me Up When September Ends by Green Day, Back In Black by ACDC are a few that I started with. Oh, and Breathe Today by Flyleaf.
IM musically random as well lol and i quite like this song..kudos for redoing the cover bro. hopefully i can get into this cover business soon..just started guitar..its something i wanted to do for a while..hopefully I'll get into drums as well(since i love them)
Nice cover as always dude :-) Quick question, you use Gibraltar double kicks yeah? That the only set you've ever used? I needa new set. Anything is an improvement. Yours look pretty sweet, but my drum tutor uses DW6000's and highly recommends them. Any thoughts? I give the usual Kudos on an awesome job :-)
@Junior45572 Compared to other pedals I've tried at stores and shit like that, I would not actually recommend these Gibraltars. The DWs are very nice, I've also tried Iron Cobras and they're a dream, but they're expensive as tits. The ones I use aren't bad, I just don't like them as much. They are better some for sure :P
@CoverDrummer94 Expensive as tits..what sort of high class tits do you get in Canada?! Here in Ireland they're a dime a dozen. Of course the numbers go up 'cause 80% of guys have them, but thats what excessive drinking does. But thanks dude =] I broke my last set. Even though they were already pretty fucked. But I got them for around $70, so wasn't expecting much xD But I miss them now. I scraped them when I got my new kit and just bought a single Mapex P330, but thinking of getting double set
@Junior45572 Canadian tits are top of the line my good friend. You should fly over and experience them! Everyone's gotta try them once ;)
And yeah, I only had a single for the first couple years, then when I found out about them, I was like OMG I WANT. Then I get them but wasn't skilled enough to use them effectively, and barely used them at all. Now I don't know what I'd do with out them!
@CoverDrummer94 I plan to visit Canada some day. And leave with diabetes *syrup and mucho numbers of candy stores* It was about a year and a half before I got my kicks. But they weren't brand name ones, and they were used. But I was just happy to have some. I ended up using them for everything, even music that didn't require them XD Never thought I'd miss them. Half considering getting Mapex p700. Cheap enough, and the rest of my kit is Mapex anyway XD
@RhythmHappy Oh man, that takes practice to get used to...I'm still off time with it. Practice it man! It's just eighth notes with the right hand with sixteenths every other beat between with your left hand. Thanks for the comment!
What about a Muse cover? :)
