Great vid! I just started my tank I only have a snowflake eel and a clown fish, is it ok to give them peas? Are u feeding them fresh, frozen, or canned?
tank is beautiful, fish also. Do you have difficulty keeping butterfly fishes thriving? I had three and all died-my fault, i am certain. I like the idea of peas - do they all eat them?
Great idea. Why didn't I think of this. My LFS recommended brocolli in a veggie clip, men peas does have the same nutrients benefits as well (I never used the brocolli, but stuck with dried weeds, which is costly compared to peas)
I do this all the time. Why would you name the video "dont try this at home"? Its acually a great idea and its good for the fish. I even mix peas with my dog food.
@yournamehere954 Oh, wait a minute, I loaded the video.. I thought he was going to handfeed his fish. NVM lol
peas are an excellent food. All fish seem to love them! They also contain the proper amount of protein, too! Just like soybeans, which are fed to farmed channel catfish!
one use of feeding fish frozen peas is to help incourage them to eat and it helps get rid of internal parasites. i dont know if thats why this guy is feeding them this. even if a couple werent eaten, he has a huge tank so it really wouldnt affect anything. it looks like a lot of fish because they are all crammed in one corner but im sure once they all start swimming around you wouldnt think that. beautiful tank
thats kool cause people here in cayman feed the fish on the reef peas aswell i tried it once to catch fish and i got a bunch of juvinile blennies and juvinile sargent malors
You really dumped the peas in there, wow. Aren't you afraid of an ammonia spike or similar? I'm not chastising you, I'm just wondering how you manage to get away with it with all of that livestock. :) I've subscribed to your videos and also favorited a few. I have a 500 gallon with a 125 gallon sump. Your videos are quite inspiring.
Yes, I defrost them. Thanks for all the nice feedback.

@yournamehere954 It can be a bit risky depending on your fish. Accidents happen. Especially with surgeonfish, which can deliver painful lacerations!

@Auraeuz
Peas also keep fish regulated and if they are having trouble going to the bathroom it is recommended to feed peas.
