I can see why people love this show so much. It's so much different than other shows about high school. For once, we get the perspective of somebody else other than popular shallow teenage drama queens that soccer moms force their kids to behave like. Daria is simply a character most can relate to, especially those of us who went through high school.

I know why Daria got pulled suddenly from MTV. it's too nihilistic in the face of pop culture. the same reason The Angry Beavers suddenly got pulled off Nickelodeon; the audience was too dumb for the content. I don't know all that much about daria so I can't really comment, but angry beavers was a kids show. A good kid show, yes, and probably more intelligent than say, catdog, but it was still a kids show. They get pulled all the time regardless of contnet if it doesn't have a big enough audience. Most shows aimed at kids don't have all that long of a lifespan And I think mtv respected daria enough to give it that movie special that closed out the series.

The show was a spin-off of Beavis and Butthead to which Daria originated. I don't think Mike Judge was involved to be honest because he was working on King of the Hill after B&B went off the air. Just recently the boys are back on MTV with new material, insulting today's era. I wish Daria was back on the air as well.
