@413MB I feel 100x safer being in a town where the law abiding citizens are well armed than I do in a city like chicago where there are gun bans and the only armed people are criminals.
we oregon militia carry all the time dude , cops don't do shit ..and most cops in bend are awake or waking up which is great ..all patriots has to work harder in Portland ...
Learned something new every day. I didn't realize that a CHL gave you extra open carry rights. BTW, who goes to the DMV anymore these days, haha. I haven't been in ages. VA is good about making everything available online now.
@1775novten It was for a driving test for my Ex. :P I have been in there about 3 times in every 2 years. They at first did not believe me, then I told the ORS 166.370 and they wrote it down. Now they don't even care.
@1775novten In most states you are allowed to open carry as the default carry. It is only when you want to conceal the handgun that you need the license. Thus the reason it is called a CONCEALED Handgun License. Otherwise it would be called a handgun license.

@TheGrayman1234 Oregon is weird, when you have a CHL in Oregon you are allow to bear any firearm into public buildings, even though it is a Conceal Handgun License. Please read ORS 166.370. Talk to your lawyer if you can't understand it. I done all the process. Just read the title and who is exempt.
