I think the EVH looks better...it has a more balanced shape.

Axis has a bit more bottom end and bassy. Wolfgang is more open sounded, but a bit more thinner sounding.

For me I'm trying to decide between the EB Axis and Fender Wolfgang Special.

After playing both the Axis is the winner here by far... but compare it to the EVH Wolfgang

I'd get the Music Man, but do a pickup change. I'd do the same with the Wolfgang, but I rather the look of the MM.

I have both guitars and the sound is very similar but the axis is much more comfortable .... A winner? MUSIC MAN AXIS ... But that depends on the sound for every guitarist regardless!

@TCB141 There's a reason why EVH designed his Wolgang guitars,and it ain't got nothing to do with the Peavey co. or the Fender co. It's the sound and quality. Enough said!

Wolfgang seems to have better distortion sound (its more open and i like it) but on the clean channel, axis is the winner. Can you please tell me the price difference between these 2 guitars?

Yeah, thank you for this movie.

I've never played Axis (couldn't find one to compare with my Wolfgang) - but I know I love this heavy,mid focused tone of Wolfgang, it's 'powerful' - I don't need to use Tubescreamer (I use it with my Ibanez S/Fender Deluxe). Maybe Telecaster is more punchy, but it doesn't sound so heavy.

THE PEAVEY WOLFGANG DEFINITELY HAS A CRISPER SOUND. AXIS SOUNDS A BIT MORE MUFFLES. HAVE TO GO WITH THE PEAVEY WOLFGANG. I OWN A PEAVEY WOLFGANG SPECIAL AND A FENDER WOLFGANG SPECIAL. BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE THOSE TWO ALSO. FENDER HAS MUCH FULLER CRISPER SOUND AND SUSTAIN???? PLEASE!!!!

Its pretty clear on the drive setting, that the WG is muddier, which is my experience with the 2. Ed recorded some great sounds with the music man, the Wolf not so much.
