  • How much cost is this plane?

  • Outstanding. All that's missing is a voiceover by that WWII newsreel guy. :)

  • Alcool? Do you mean alcohol? For the engine ... or for your nerves? lol

  • did this plane have a magneto or a distributor? im guseeing its a 1600cc engine right?

  • It had an 1834cc VW with twin magnetos. I don't think it would have got off the ground with a 1600 VW!

    Cheers

  • wow thats impressive, ive been trying to build one..oding research..i need to know what mods you need to do the vw engine..( i have a 1200cc) can u help?

  • If you're building a VP2 a 1200 VW is too small. It might work on a VP1 but it would be very underpowered as they are quite draggy. The mods aren't that difficult but you can easily find more by typing " aero VW " into goodle. I'd reccommend reading Mr Hoovers VW blog (again, easily found on google) Best of luck. Ivan

  • thanks! did you build your vp 1 from plans? and did you have to get it inspected? so is my vw engine powerfull enough to make an ultralight floatplane? (1 person)

  • I didn't build the VP2, but I have built other aircraft. Yes, they have to be inspected here in the UK and probably everywhere else as well. Your 1200 would certainly power a single place ultralight. My Great uncle flew a 1200 WV powered Turbulent for many years. A floatplane might need a bit more power, but I'm sure with the right design a 1200 could power one.

  • I would be shitting my pants in that plane , it looks like u made it with super glue or something and it wud fall apart in the sky.

  • It's a lot stronger than you think, and I'm still here ;-)

  • hahahahahaha Joka. Nice plane though. I wish I had a farm to fly it in.

  • They are a bitch to get in and out of

  • Not as bad as a FRED or other single seat high wing though! :-)
