This song was not to "glamorize" these acts of violence like the columbine shooting. It was made to give notice as to the effects of bullying. And how teachers and parents are not doing enough to prevent it. People tend to think it is not a huge problem and that other kids should get tough and suck it up. But that's promoting violence within itself!! Bullying comes from the ignorance and stupidity of others. We should not be accepting this as something "kids do".

I understand your issue. However i believe it should be noted that violent music cannot be held responsible for such situations as you have described. Those situations are simply caused by loony people with psychological issues and unbalanced serotonin levels. I think it's more of a statement on the origins of the violence of students in school settings. The "narrator" of the song itself identifies his aggressors as the other kids with the "pumped up kicks" and seeks to avenge himself against them. I don't think the point of the song itself is to condone such behavior as much as it is to comment on its origins.
