Shirogane is not my fave, regardless of anime or manga. He's creepy! And from day one it's too hard to trust him at all. Which is good, because then you don't, I think. I always feel so sorry for Ken-chan, he's so cute and nice and kinda hot but everyone treats him so poorly :(

@cath812 The anime is about a boy named Akira who gets supernatural powers from a man named shirogane. Shirogane is not human he is from a parallel world where shadows dwell. The supernatural powers akira gets are powers to fight the evil shadows in order to keep the balance between the shadow world and the light world(akiras world) which is being invaded by shadows. This power he gets is from his transformation into a shin/shadow.(like shirogane)but akira has a more crucial role than thought

@RawrJelly98 my advice would be if you really want to know the story just watch the anime. its 24 very short episodes but even though the manga is a little cooler and more complicated you wont be that impressed. lets put it this way. the characters are awesome ,the dialogue is funny and really curious ,the plot is amazing, but the ending is just .....just.........insufficient­, yeah!! thats a good word to describe it. you want to see the real ending but its not interesting after it.

Shirogane-sama is kinda gay, but I like his charming site :D I only watched the first three episodes of MF and I absolutely love it! :)

And approaching shirogane-sama's lipstick....well...that's open to dispute. ;)

I love the way the anime and the manga differentiates. If you're a serious reader you can just look at the manga but if you're a fan of BL you can just look at the anime. It caters to everone! I, personally, adore the implications of Shirogane and Akira. True, it would have been better if they were a little more subtle and if there was a season 2 to follow :(
