i bricked it by trieing to uninstall cioscorp by uninstalling it's (wad bout 20 of em) files in the wad manager

maybe that removed the whole ios in the wii

now i only have blackscreen on startup

i have bootmii installed as ios and a nand backup and prii loader but i think i removed that while

uninstalling the cioscorp wads , now how can i unbrick my wii

i probaply need modchip and gc controller and need to make a universal unbrick disk

if yes then what kind of modchip do i need

I have already softmodded my Wii with Homebrew, installed DVDx and the whole nine yards... but I get a disk read error when I attempt to play a backup disc that I have burned. However, I WBFS the cames onto a USB flash drive and they play perfectly. Any way to fix this? Is it worth undoing and redoing? Please advise.. I'd like to be able to play them from the DVD instead of just from the flash drive.. (limited capacity). Thanks!

@Booya344 If you use dvd+r it may or may not ruin your wii's disk scanner that scans and reads the discs to play on your wii. I would suggest you testing your wii if your old (original nonbackup) games work. If not then your wii can no longer play regular games bought at the store. Just check if it works at report back to me for more questions.

because wii games are only dvd-r, on rare occasions it will read dvd+r but you shouldnt waste your money.

thanx man, but um i dont have the press and hold 1 option in my backup loader. its gamma 0.3 but i do have config menu, i try force ntsc, this works for my wario shake it. mushroom men will only play on pal 60 still only in black and white. pikmin 2 just wont play properly period. not with force ntsc, pal60, pal50. nada. i mean it plays but black and white and screen not good. skippy like a failed cable channel.

After load the DVDx/boot. dol, just go to the advance install and look for the IOS249 and click it and install it....is that what you mean ?

got to wii settings from the main page select channel the sd make sure you have the origonal sd card inserted that you used for the homebrew channel and follow the on screen promps hope this helps :)

ok I have this very simple problem: I just can't get any WAD games to play. And yet I have no problem downloading and burning games on DVD and playing them via backup launcher, even NTSC ones on my PAL system.

So I have downloaded WADS and installed them from an SD card via WAD Manager and have them installed as channels on my WII, but they all refuse to launch.

I've tried old and new ones, PAL and NTSC ones, but none works, wish I knew why. Any ideas? My system version is 3.3U if that helps.

Try diferent IOS. Install various ones (like 34 or 50..I dont remember the numbers, but the common ones related to this problem). These ones will keep from returning to the Wii menu. Intall via Wad Manager

Attention everyone, you need to run and install cIOS installer. to be able to do this you need a WiFi internet connection and the HBC (homebrewchannel). When you have done this, you will be able to see ios249 on the WAD manager.
