I learned this form from a teacher who traveled to China to learn directly from Master Chen, who is featured in this video, and my teacher said he doesn't practice it in this vid exactly as he taught the class. So, be advised, Wild Goose should be learned from a qualified teacher. You cannot learn it from a video; the video is to help jive your memory if you have already learned it.
I met GM Yang and have practised for 16 years almost every day. this form is beautiful and will ultimately bring you as GM Yang was - Quan Yin herself....
Movements vary slightly from person to person, just as hand writing varies. Tall, short, old, young, this will make movements look a little different . More important is how an individual moves their Qi! Sometimes the movements on DVDs are slightly simplified to enable a beginner to follow without causing complications. (incorrect practise may send the qi in the wrong direction and without a teacher to correct the deviations this can cause side effects). We do not mimick our teachers!
Hi everyone, I made a Facebook channel dedicated to the Wild goose Qigong, join and share your experiences or receive more information on how to practice: facebook dot com/group dot php?gid=120949884603379
Yang mei-jun devoted herself selflessly to the teaching of her inherited wild goose qigong system & the healing of the sick, all for free no matter to a person's status.Yet some students who benefitted from this teaching have now set up their business teaching at a price what was freely given to them in a spirit of selfless altruism. What a betrayal of those original high principles!
My teacher learned from Grandmaster Chen in China and said he taught them a little differently than he is practicing in this video; he taught it for purging but he has long passed the need to practice it that way himself.
I've learned this form in this way except some little detail. My teacher had a book from china showing and explaining the form; in the front page was the face of Yang Meijun. Do you know if there is a book like this translated in some other language?
@loonybin007 - It is alright when someone thinks that they do not need to do it the original way. But when they are teaching pls do the original form.
Its probably available in China but we don't havr any copies in the UK. Master Chen's student,(my teacher) Dr Bingkun Hu has dvds avilable of himself doing the Wild Goose.See them on U Tube!
@suejo2000 I have Bingkun Hu's video and i have to say that his movements are not like Chens. Even in his video he says that he made the movements in the film more to how he was shown them, suggesting he has modified them, but it is clear that he has gone way off the path. It seems a shame as he appears to have the right attitudes but people are judged more on what they do than what they say. I'm sorry to say this as he is your teacher. GM Yang wanted the movements unchanged and to her model.
