  • give me embarrassed to make a video like this

  • I guess it's better this than drugs. ;)

  • 0:31 - 0:33

REALLY? Who would honestly think that could work?

Tell me, have you guys even gone beyond katas with a vague context?I suggest actually trying techniques out in sparring, and seeing if any of it works. If it does not, you're doing something wrong. THAT'S how you recognize mistakes, and begin to correct them, and ultimately understand them intuitively. If you only practice with forms and half-assed drills, you may as well be learning how to swim without ever setting foot into a pool.

  • ROFL HOLY SHIT. "Hey guy trying to kill me. Just let me take your sword" Jesus!! What a bunch of assholes. Just because you own a walmart katana doesnt make you a fucking ninja.

  • what's song plaing in clip?

  • i don't see why there are so many dislikes. They are actually not bad. They are just taking it slow when using the real katana.

  • @LiamS04 indeed it´s for safety precautions and also to show the extent of the techs.

even though at most moments it looks lame some techs, remember that almost every one of those techs can either disarm you or kill you if not paying attention to opponents movements.you HAVE TO PREDICT AT LEAST A LITTLE THE MOVEMENTS OF YOUR ENEMY AND STAY IN A STANCE TO COUNTER-ACT!that´s preety much what i understand of the video....now let me go train a bit!

  • Ahh the samurai sword, not as clumsy or random as a gun, an elegant weapon, for a more civilized age. (star wars reference)

  • l'unica cosa "Vera" e buona è la canzone.

  • Some of the moves seems to be really usefull, but some of them just are to slow to use. But well done ^^

  • I see lots of negative attitude.. Shame.. Most of you can't even draw a sword, even less you know how to use it. Nobody's perfect and I'd say this clip ain't nothing else than the very first form of training where you learn the movement and stick to the only one and only way of it. Improvising comes always later, but before that, you need to learn loooooooooooooots of stuff about movement, timing, positioning and even mind. An after that, you can possibly start practicing techniques. Peace y'all

  • @Tjanz so just for you i'll rewrite my message. I can slay that fool with a Katate grip (one hand grip) and use a technique call Ryukestuzakura (and no it's not something out of a manga)

  • @MrJordanwell I bet there's a minor possibility you "might" be able to do it. Despite the fact, that you'll need propably a half life to learn more advanced techniques as they should be done. Also you can brass with your techniques as long as you want, but I give credit only to the people who can demonstrate what they are talking about. I bet you can use one-handed (short)swords, but it doesn't make you experienced with two-handed katanas. =)

  • @Tjanz

In practically all cultures, two-handed swords evolved from single-handed swords. It may not be noticeable at first, but most of the stuff that one can perform with a two-handed sword usually transfers easily to a single-hander, and vice versa. (Even the staff shares a lot in common with the two-handed sword.) There's only one human body, and only so many ways to move it practically. My point is that martial arts are very much holistic by nature.

  • @Tjanz No i agree Kodachi is not the same a regulare Katana... but you see am not into kodachi... and of course I did not demonstrate... but that guy did... and he's not an expert... far from that

  • Might want to have waited a few more years before doing a video.... there is no replacing classical sword and aikijutsu training. The only thing worse that you can do than lying to yourself about what you are capable of is convincing others that you are better than you are and letting them get a false sense of security from your teaching or your presence....

You have a lot of talent and are on the bare edge of being "skilled".... of course that was in 2008, who knows what you are doing now?

  • I could slay that so-called ninja with one hand

  • @MrJordanwell Firearms forbidden... I hope you don't lose your dignity when your mouth gets too wide and it won't shut anymore because of broken bones.

  • ............... So when that time comes and people use whatever they can get their hands on as a weapon and they try that garbage you put on screen you will get them killed and have their blood on your hands possibly.

Learn what is correct and learn it well BEFORE you ever think about instructing others.

  • Don't go around pretending to to martial sciences ( or arts for that matter ) when you don't even have the uprightness of character to admit you don't know something. How many people have watched this posting and may try to use what you taught them.

Unfortunately, the time will come in this country ( US ) that we will have internal war. The time will come when mass manufacture is down and if you run out of gun parts, your gun will be nothing but a club and nothing more.............

  • What the hell? I practice a number of different martial sciences and some of them involve sword skill. Never, NEVER, have I ever seen such retard garbage as this on this posting.

BTW, if we went one-on-one and you tried that ' turn your back' to me stuff you'd end up dead faster than you can say what the crap!!!

  • this is about the dumbest shit i've seen in a while. kids thinking they know how to fight. i think i'll just draw my .45 and pop the kid instead.

  • WTF!?!?! becaus of guys like you people think that hollywood is real!!!!

  • you people are so stupid. these are basic (very basic) ninjutsu sword skills. These are the real deal. All you kids ever think about is naruto. Get real. As a 4th ryu i would sugest you back down. It took me two years to get that rank. now you want the guy to kill him highwaymaan? This is what people do in the real dojo. and also ninjutsu training isn't just the way of the ninja. these are samerai swordsmanship. ninja combined these. Ninja also do use katanas.Go read ur manga.

  • Plus those are katanas, nothing like the ninja- to used in ninjutsu

  • Im very sorry to say this, but this is an utterly pathetic display. People tend to hold onto their swords when their lives are at risk, and an effortless yank isnt enough to disarm someone in a real situation. Plus a swinging sword has alot more force behind it when swung to kill, and i can see it getting inches from your body in many places. What if that sword were swung with the intent to kill? None of these counters would be sufficient for keeping you alive

  • IS NINJUTSU, KIDS, GO PLAY XBOX, PLAYSTATION OR SOMENTHING...

  • Guys you should totally make a comedy out of this. Good video and great pointers but this could be a drop dead hilarious comedy.

  • this was awesome, thanks.

  • Wonder what the neighbors think...

  • If practicing "Nijitsu" as you just called whatever the hell you just did you should not be using live weapon and if you are going to use Ninjato.

  • this .br fool really thinks he a ninja, lmao. . .

  • And really!? You just keep handing him the sword!

  • I still cannot believe how utterly terrible this video is, I had to come back and watch it since I've been practicing a bit with the sword, and everything, is just marinated in movie and videogame juices

  • where did you get this ninja suit?

    pls answer me :D

  • get off the line of attack!

  • great fantasy roll play boys.

  • when i was 6 and played with my friends, we looked the same xD

  • The Goofiest sword techniques from the world of cartoons!

  • Hahahhahahahahah

  • apestan! You suck!!!

  • USE A SMALL KNIFE BUT REAL.AND FIGHT IN A PHONE CABIN

  • let them play!

  • Lol youtube ninjas... -lolling hard-

  • @IvanGadni Indeed, LOL!

  • this is so sad

  • @IvanGadni Have to say you're right. I caught a few waza that looked like they MIGHT have some merit, and the black guy does seem to have some legitimate training. But overall it's just choreographed nonsense augmented with catchy techno...

  • Fake

  • nice!!!

  • This is the best comedy routine I've seen in years. Literally ROFL'd at 0:37.

  • jesus

  • ok WHO THE FUCK WOULD YOU GIVE HIM THE SWORD

  • This is not ninjutsu, it is flash crap... also dont look down when you do your kata's... even a white belt knows that.

  • @AmeKurou nonono, it's not a different pronunciation... Again, it's just a method of romanization that reflects kana usage (thus sho is rendered in a way more similar to kyo, byo, etc.) Likewise, cho is rendered "tyo", etc. It does NOT reflect in any way. I was just trying to explain that what you're used to is either a revision of Kunrei-shiki (not likely) or just plain ol' Modern Hepburn (which is probably the case).

  • @AmeKurou That's exactly *why* non-Hepburn romanization does it that way. Both nihon-shiki and kunrei-shiki are based on kana usage rather than actual pronunciation. Thus, し is rendered "si" and si + yo = syo instead of sho. "Si" is pronounced "shi" and "syo" is pronounced "sho".

Look it up sometime, maybe you'll be a little less anal about silly things like romanization... Takahashi, is it?

  • @AmeKurou Modern Hepburn is the standard for scholarly discourse about Japan overseas. Thus, "textbook" (きょうかしょ), for example, is rendered "kyoukasho" or "kyōkasho", and generally not "kyôkasyo" as per kunrei-shiki.

  • @AmeKurou You're wrong.

  • I have seen some crap in my time but this is going in my top 10. This guy thiinks learning sword from a comic book makes him a black belt. He should be embarrassed that this has been made public. Its as close to Ninjutsu as I am to dressing up in womens clothing, it will never happen.

  • @AmeKurou Not everybody uses kunrei-shiki. Gambatte is perfectly acceptable in the old Hepburn style of romanization.

  • Oh dear...

  • @AmeKurou lol, yoroshiku onegaishimasu - wish they had spell check for romanji (GANbatte).

  • @ShinobiNoTodai Gambatte works too. You're obviously going to have to use n' a la the kunrei-shiki if you use an IME, but the style of romanization you use is irrelevant when you're just typing it out in the Latin alphabet. Hell, "ca ci cu ce co" or comes up with かきくけこ, and "si" comes up with "し" so i don't think the Japanese really give a damn about how you want to romanize things (since they rarely do anyway). I've heard plenty of horror stories of English class notes entirely in katakana..

  • Cool! is like two big boys playing to be ninjas. Pretty tender =)

  • would love to live on this street and tell people there are ninjas EVERYWHERE!

  • that guy needs a bigger hokama

  • As a real practitioner if Ninjutsu I can see the ghost of some real techniques but it needs a lot of polishing. I can't really complain though it looks good for youtube.

  • @Nitro1000

some of it looks alright, but for a lot of them hes not moving out of the way of the strike.

    really pretty though

  • Ah yes. It't totally feasible to walk up behind somebody and just snatch their blade from their hands.

  • OK guys.... I'm sure this won't convince you either way, but this really isn't either ninjutsu (by the way, spelling it ninJITsu is a sure fire way to show how little you know about the art) , or any form of legitimate swordsmanship. The only reason I've decided to come back and comment on this is that you've got elements of what could be correct form, but that's only about 10%, and even that's questionable at best.

Seriously, look up your local X-kan dojo and get some real training. Peace out.

  • I have a feeling you guys are big fans of the Tenchu games lol.

Seriously though, if you guys put your efforts in real training, eventually you'll be good. Good luck.

  • im know expert but i think a good amout of the moves would work

  • (Sigh) None of this is Ninjutsu, or any display of skilled swordsmanship. Although I do see some attempts at Muto Dori techniques, they need a lot work. Find a legitimate school in Ninjutsu or any sword-related art and you should do well. Gambatte!

  • wow alot of those moves would only work on a retard or in anime, but thanks for the video

  • Excellent musical choice; Excellent skill.

  • Ok, as a true practitioner of Ninjutsu, these techniques only work if your opponent stands still, is really slow, does choppy robotic movements, and doesn't fight back at all.

  • @HEROINBONER1 where did u train?

  • @SuperSillyKitten Phoenix Quest Center Dojo AZ

  • @HEROINBONER1 OH!! just like that guy in the video. . .

    LOL

  • my seven year old boy says this is nice! thank you 4 uploading

  • omg... slamming his sword into the grass.... unbelieable bad

i hope he does not really have a black belt, but i really doubt i, and if he he has one it's just bought...

  • see....i wana take my western broadsword style against them and just over power them....

  • Love the one where he just throws the fuckin sheath at him... xD It'd probably shock a real ninja/samurai..Theyd be like WTF? Then you could get your slice on ;)

  • @Natotines No...it would probably shock only you, get it right...

You really think in a life or death scenario a trained warrior with experience in the battlefield would lose concentration over a sily trick. . .

  • Hey dudes, I enjoyed it and you game me some great moves to practice..

So just forget about the dorks that talk s@#t...keep it up, I'll be watching.

  • @1sloanez You tell em kid! You too can learn how to fight incredibly slow, robot like people with cheap half tang swords that will let you win! Youll be able to stand on the corner of your balcony with one foot and everything! xD

  • it is spelled ninjutsu. there is no such word in the japanese language as jitsu . no such thing. so change it to ninjtusu so you dont get trash talkers ok. you spelled the word wrong

  • @MOUNTAINOUS seriously...thats the least of his problems

  • Comment removed

  • What I learned is touching the hands or wrists of another makes them drop what they are wielding...yes?

  • @dancingveggie13

and that dodging is possible without moving your feet hips or back, because he isnt really going to hit you anyways...

    oh. and the ATROCIOUS FOOTWORK...

who the hell does this nobody think he is,.. hatsumi? THIS vid illustrates the problem of the buj, all the ninjers wanna look like hatsumi... so they emulate instead of learn...

on top of that, the bujinkan, AND this video... have absolutely nothing to do with ninjutsu...

  • Comment removed

  • None of this is actually useful, even in the slightest. This is nothing but mindless ninja worship. Throwing your scabbard and knocking people over? Really?

  • @Luckboy28 On the contrary, it is brilliant. Insulting another's skills without purpose is mindless.

  • Playing Ninja Gaiden doesn't make an instructor of ninjitsu.... people are not compliant to the technique, nor is any of this valid..... please just stop embarassing yourself....

  • maybe he's just showing what HE knows. not necessarily instructing.

  • @KetsuekiHana Your objection is embarrassment enough, since it hints at insecurity. Silence would have been the noble course.

  • This is well done, but I must interject with an observation, or rather a question of technique. I have noticed, that the man with the sword, spends a great deal of energy, attacking with the sword in a circular manner. Would it not be easier on him, if he simply attacked from close to the body and as a result, make the technique harder to defend against and thereby, enchancing the skills level of both?

  • i want a bokkenXD

  • really nice moves, you seem like you train a lot, there's just some suckers here that want gore and blood for them to think it's worth it, guess their little brain doesn't tell them this is just practice.

  • some nice moves but not ninjutsu

  • yeah, guess dodging a sword isnt that hard when the one swinging it around is going slowmo while the other is not

  • nice that was awsome

  • hey nick
