Crosby and Nash- the ultimatel harmony team. Why everybody in the music industry didn't want these two to sing for/with them is beyond me. Everyone's album which they sang on was made a whole lot better for their singing talent and prescence. I even wonder if the Eagles would have sounded better with them. (O.K., maybe that's going a little too far.)
@PhilCCCM Could it be because of Crosby's lifestyle? Being arrested several times for drugs/alcohol/weapon- issues. Great musician but maybe not the best of company to be around, image-wise.
I love the harmonies.... I love the fact that these masterful vocalists are happy to be singing a vocal part each, while letting Paul Simon run the show. This is what singing pleasure is about. I'm a singer.. I get just as big a buzz at nailing a multi-harmony live as I ever do being the main man. Egos really get in the way so often and it's great to see craftsmen at work.
@pbev7 Well, I can see your point, but I am thrilled by this version. The timbre of their voices, the way they played with the tension in the bridge. I'm in heaven after listening to this twice in a row and I might have to listen to it again. Harrison's version is such a hard act to follow, and they made it theirs. And like you, I'd've cut off my arm to see them sing it :)
@andyrfit What? Maybe it's a cover of "a dear friend's" classic. You know, George LIVED AND DIED IN TYPICAL BULLSHIT AMERICA. What nationality are YOU? Well, whatever it is, it's BULLLSHIT.
YouTube doesn't have a rating higher than awesome, but I'll do it anyway. I just wonder how many other CSN's are out there. Crosby, Stills, and the Neville Bros? Clapton, Stills, Nash? I think folks would love to be misled about who the CSN on the marquee actually is.
Thanks for posting this gem. Refreshing to see the concentration of grandfathers.
that looks like a martin paul's playing. I wonder. Looks like an addy spruce top. Anyone?

I love this song. I love Paul Simon. I love Crosby and Nash -but I don't like this version. It is too slow. It is "Here Comes the Sun" on Valium.
That said, I'd have cut off my left arm to be there and watch them sing it!!
