I like the story of this movie, especially what he says to his kid in the ending. But the action sequences are not realistic in any way in comparison to a real EOD squad in the field. A good Iraq war movie with both a good plot and action sequence IMO is The Green Zone.

As an active duty veteran and movie geek, I cannot express how much this movie disappointed me. Renner did a good job playing a one dimensional character with no ethical core in a movie with no actual story to tell. Just a "day in the life" of a hard to like guy. The director NEVER should have won an award, she was just convenient at the time.

This is a great film, it sticks to its plot and provides all you need in a this kind of movie, it really does make you feel like you are there with those characters. Personally I like this genre a lot, so thats a big plus, but no matter, it is very well done. It has everything that a good movie should have. Watch it on moovi.co.cc.

I even liked Richie's Sherlock Holmes than this if we will start to talk about booring. This war drama is a good movie. But if you ask someone with a good taste in movies wether or not it deserved to win oskar, about 80% of time you will hear answer no :)

I like the story of this movie, especially what he says to his kid in the ending. But the action sequences are not realistic in any way in comparison to a real EOD squad in the field. A good Iraq war movie with both a good plot and action sequence IMO is The Green Zone.

As an active duty veteran and movie geek, I cannot express how much this movie disappointed me. Renner did a good job playing a one dimensional character with no ethical core in a movie with no actual story to tell. Just a "day in the life" of a hard to like guy. The director NEVER should have won an award, she was just convenient at the time.
