i think i just relize why we get things on christmas. It is Jesus's birthday and because he was so helping and amazing instead of us giving to him he gives to us. We give back to him by spending time with the amazing familys god gave us and smiling by looking at the things we got. Maybe Santa is just Jesus in disguise?

@Mady1355 technically if you're not a Catholic or Christian, then you're not really celebrating Christmas. Christmas is a religious holiday to celebrate the Birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. And yes it actually does mean that hell is going to be your final and eternal destination if you are not saved by Christ. God has made it possible for us all to come to His saving Grace because he loves us, but if anyone chooses not to accept it, then they have chosen eternal damnation.

@Laurnexo Jesus wasn't necessarily born on the 25th of December, we just choose that day of the year to celebrate His birthday! We could celebrate it anytime, but why not now? It's a very depressing time of year for many people, and to refocus our sights on Jesus Christ and His love for us is a fantastic thing! It gives many people hope! That's because only Jesus can give you hope! (The Biblical word used is closer to Confidence). We celebrate His birthday but worship Him every single day! :)

No point in telling us we're going to "burn in hell" because we don't believe in it. We don't actually want to start an argument, most of us are just standing up for what we believe in. Just because we believe something different, it doesn't give anyone the right to tell us how we're supposed to live our lives.

Could everyone stop arguing about Christmas?! So what?! Some people just look at Christmas as being a time for family and not directly related to God or anything. Yes it's a Christian holiday yes it's originally meant to celebrate his birthday and what not but that doesn't mean that atheists can't use the time to just enjoy being with family!

I appreciate everyone's views, but look, either way - Christmas is not a time for getting in stupid fights on Youtube over what the holiday means!

@Laurnexo Jesus wasn't necessarily born on the 25th of December, we just choose that day of the year to celebrate His birthday! We could celebrate it anytime, but why not now? It's a very depressing time of year for many people, and to refocus our sights on Jesus Christ and His love for us is a fantastic thing! It gives many people hope! That's because only Jesus can give you hope! (The Biblical word used is closer to Confidence). We celebrate His birthday but worship Him every single day! :)
