When I was first building a gaming pc ( I knew nothing about pcs) I asked a friend I thought knew quite a bit about pcs and I said If i want to add some more ram, do I just stick the ram stick in and im done? He told me I need to install software, frameware, keep the ram up to date with updates. Clean ram weakly with a program. Like ram is some sort of pet. Lol

laptop ram is called SO-Dimms (they are smaller than usual rams).. you got to to find out the speed of the ram your laptop has right now.. or figure out which rapspeed the laptops chipset support....

then you know what you have to buy..

to install it open the laptop (backside) there should be some screws. . and somewhere in your laptop should be one 2 slot for so-dimms..

Hey I have 1.22 gigs of RAM and I want to get Fallout 3, Just Cause, and Half-Life 2, which in total is 1.77 gigs of RAM. Fallout 3 is 1 gig of RAM, Just Cause is 512 megabytes of RAM, and Half-Life 2 is 265 megabytes of RAM. I want to know if i have to have enough to supply all the games, or if I only have to have enough for each game while I'm playing it (if that makes any sense). Help would be greatly appreciated. i dont know if ud have enough (probably not) but you should have preferably 4gs of RAM to run games now a days RAM greatly affects your PC performance and would be a cheap upgrade for about $40-$50 for 2x2g sticks
