While not entirely responsible for what's happened on Wall Street they are partially at fault for it. Then on the economy they keep bringing up Clinton's years. John McCain did a lot better in this debate than the last one. He brought across the point that obama wants to tax and spend , tax and spend , tax and spend. McCain also exposed the pro abortion rah , rah battle cry "The health of a woman" Opps i can't fit into my prom dress. Oh and i just loved that McCain said to obama's face that he is NOT Bush.

I'm speaking of the failed "trickle down" nonsense and the notion of spending our way out of dept as the Bush administration following Regean's lead decided to try. And although your CRA argument may seem valid at face value. The CRA helped banks to lend to less fortunate individuals but did not force banks to go over their limits, and it was a lack of oversight that allowed them to lend beyond their means helping to catalyze this mess we are in now. What happens when someone starts their own business? Usually you have to hire people to work for you. X amount of people now have jobs. The man who started the business is sharing his success with the public in the form of jobs; or as you want to put it the success trickles down. The CRA artificially raised home prices above inflation levels. It created a bubble that popped because those prices were unsustainable. Once again Government fucks things up.

Yeah ideally...but it doesn't work that way. See there's this thing called greed, when a company grows and it no longer benefits the CEO or other high rankings to let this success "trickle down" it stops, and when they have no regulation or incentives to "open the gates" the people get hurt. I'm not saying there shouldn't be a gap, but you can't seriously believe that straight "trickle down" actually works.

But it does work that way. I admit that there is greed and we do need regulation, just like we need laws for society. The difference is that we do not need burdensome regulation that tells businesses what to do or how to run their businesses. Any smart businessman knows that if they are not on their game that eventually they will be overtaken by competition. If a CEO thinks that his company is "secure" then he's either sponsored by government or is destined for failure.

Learn from the past. We do not live in a country where we are forced to give our HARD EARNED MONEY to those that make less or to those that do not work (Think welware). The American dream is being killed off by Obama and his spread the wealth plan. Who wants to go into business and live the American dream when the Government is going to tax us as soon as we hit the "spread the wealth" mark? If you took the time to read Obama's tax plan you would see it's not a "socialist" plan. The American Dream is not being killed off. If anythings going to kill it, it's the Republican "set in my ways" ignorant, arrogant attitude. That's right! McCain isn't Bush! McCain has military experience after being a POW, so he will do better than Bush on Iraq situation & war on terror! Lieberman endorsed McCain, which makes him different from Bush! McCain and Bush both ran against each other in 2000 Republican primaries. They were enemies. They disagreed with each other. If McCain is Bush, McCain would be agreeing with Bush a lot, but they had big disagreements during the primaries! There is no need to call him McBush or McSame!
