  • vintage keith...

  • All these new rock stars are so incredibly boring, stiff and up their own. Good old Keith!

  • yes class indeed.gone are the good days of rockin roll.

  • wow this is classic

  • this makes me wish i was born in 1951 instead of 1981. Pop culture isnt real anymore.

  • A man takes a drink, the drink takes a drink, the drink takes the man. This is the period before he lost his joy of life and its very sad his lovely children had to lose such a great dad

  • He was one of the best-true original.

  • "We finally made it Keith" :D Hahaha such a witty guy!

  • Keith Moon could've had his own reality show today if he was alive.

  • Keith sure was a unique character!

  • @nickmordo

Enjoy music, that's my advise. Who's better...well, who cares.

  • @nickmordo moon play with zeppelin, but bonham didnt with the who, think about it

  • what's there to think about?

  • @nickmordo Keith Moon and Jon Entwistle were Jimmy Page's original choices for Led Zeppelin's drummer and bassist

  • They broke the mold after this guy!

  • Which award was it and what did they get it for?

  • Moon was cool as fuck

  • I should have been a rock star. What was I thinking ? stupid stupid stupid

  • @DejectedPanda it's never too late

  • @DejectedPanda Yeah, right. But you still would not be Keith Moon... :)

  • The Somersault.

Keith's "Great trick" according to the lovely Annette Walter-Lax (Keith was going to take Hollywood by storm by somersaulting over casting director's desks).

    Bless his high heart.

  • What a legend. :)

  • Keith Moon may have been the most insane person that ever lived.

  • @cindercronkit tre cool is not far behind

  • @whiteley1989 fuck off with your shit modern punk. Clash, Pistols, Ramones maybe... We don't have any culture now, and for rock to truly work, we need culture. Hense why the beatles were so fucking awesome.

  • @whiteley1989 behind keith moon!??? BAHAHHAHA tre cool isn't even remotely close to being a great drummer, yet alone an all time great, yet alone close to moon lmao wow, how sad are you?

  • @jaqua524 a ment personality wise i know he is know where near the level of keith ya think am stupid

  • @whiteley1989 ahh, gotcha lol

  • Comment removed

  • Brilliant how calmly he delivers those punchlines... His beatiful accent just puts the cherry on the cake too.

  • HAHAHAHA

    WE FINALLY MADE IT KEITH

  • Coolness factor 10/10

  • i am surprised , how there so many people , gives their opinion here, talking about 2 great rock bands of the history, as if they was a football teams ... thats is very sick, the music is the clutch our state of minds and our mood.. why? why that foolishness

to want compares who is the best? the who? or the beatles? both are so greatest band of history.. its not like says , who is the best? Dallas cowboys or Steelers? come on! stop.. dont be absurds and enjoy the music who they let us.

  • @RubberSoul1968 Was half of that even English???

  • what was this ward for???

  • @mugwamp4 That's a good question. Paul accepted the Grammy Award for Let It Be, and Quincy Jones accepted the Oscar. The song is clear, but I don't know about the award.

  • Is it the grammy's?

  • alice cooper's face HAHAHA

they were all full of mad, bro

  • What award is this?

  • @alphadogstudio 1977

  • ummmm....was that Alice Cooper banging his own head at the end?

  • @stayjit1

    Yeah.

  • @stayjit1 Yes. It was some sort of monkey thing they did to each other. They were a group of mad mad drinking rock gods.

  • love Keith MOON

  • What a great Loon!!!!!!! Moon had it & gave it....all

  • @lourc00 - But after all, Keith Moon is just wonderfull!!!

The Who kept it real, Beatles sold out... just looking after your pocket aight, Sir McCartney? And Lennon singing "Love, Love, Love" but helping funding the IRA. If you are a babyboomer - which i believe, than sure you dont want to know.. even though - you know how to use youtube.. you can find the other info as well.

And if you are really 17: dont worry, you will understand - if they dont wash your brain beforehand..

  • @vstbull I've read some absurd comments on youtube, but the your claim that John Lennon funded the I.R.A is the best I've read so far.I used the word 'best' because you must be a troll and because you're very good at your chosen vocation, I think you deserve to be commended for mastering this much maligned art form.Amateur trolls should take lessons from you.

  • @henryporter101 I personally think that Lennon killed the Kennedys . even the one who drove his airplane into the sea just a few yrs ago

  • what else did come out of Britain that was worth something and at the moment is not owned by SE Germans???

    Their humor.

  • @vstbull and i just love teh english humor...

  • Back to the guy who said the beetles will allways be best: they have never been the best. One of the great - perhaps. The best marketing machinery behind them? Thats for sure. But they are nowhere near Lynyrd Skynyrd or The Great Funk Railroad, Black Sabbath and others. Beetles are the same as Boyzone, New Kids on the Block etc, only in a time where there were not many "BoyBands" thats why all the generation of than 14 year olds still think they are greatest. They probably stopped listening to

  • @vstbull You are totally wrong!! The beatles were the best, theres's no way you can compare them with anyone, they gave us ten years of pure and geniun music, You have no right to critizes them only because you don't like them, I 'm sure you haven't heard anything, not even 1 song.....That's not the way to talk about a band that made the difference in the history ok rock and roll....I respect your choice of music but don't you even dare talking about them like that!!

  • @lourc00 in your youtube profile states that you are 17 years old... so how much of it did you actually enjoy back in the 60´s?

And what choice of music are you talking about? you know nothing about me! And neither am I criticizing, but merely opining about a group that where absolutely overrated in their time and simply made it to being the best because of all the baby boomers that had nothing else to do than party and f*ck around - and now are known to be most egoistic generation of people

  • @vstbull ur extremely ignorant if you disrespect the beatles. theyr probably the most influential band in rock history and i bet if u asked anybody with a any sort of knowledge or passion for music, theyl tell u the beatles are the most important ans influential band in history.

  • @frusciante319

If there were no Buddy Holly and the Crickets there would have been no Beatles.

    Just sayin'.

  • @vstbull You win the "Dumbest Fucking Post I've Ever Read on Youtube" award! BTW, what is "The Great Funk Railroad"?? BWHAHAHA!!!

  • Loved Keith the greatest drummer ever

  • lmao nice

  • What was the award for?

  • @dead0piggy I think it was for the "Rockie Awards" Hall of Fame. This awards show was only on a couple for a couple of years in the '70's. Alice sings "Go to Hell" on this show. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT VERSION AGAIN!

  • @CjGinc

It's on here but I think that it's credited under "Wish you were here" as it was a performance of two songs.

If you don''t find it that way try (All in caps) ALICE COOPER WISH YOU WERE HERE/GO TO HELL.

If that fails look up the user Luneytoon72 as I'm pretty sure he posted it.

Still can't find it message me back and I'll get my wife to fish it out of her favorites for you.

  • Moon reminds me of Peter Sellers

  • @Slater071 how can you insult Keith life that?

  • Comment removed

  • I love the way he kisses the ladies hand and then cartwheels off - a gentleman and a madman combined.

  • @dancupid I think he was hight. No, wait, I'm sure he was hight!!!!

  • @dancupid indeed gotta love that madman

  • WTF is Alice doing there at the end?! ha ha ha

  • @lennydog666 he looks like mr. bean there! hahahaha

  • @lennydog666

Keith and Alice were in the "Hollywood Vampires" drinking clup together with Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees and a handful of other guys, including John Lennon. That was a part of their not so secret handshake.

  • what year was this ?

  • Harsh to say but only after seeing this tonight could I not imagine a 60-70 something Keith-eases the pain of his loss a bit.

  • I don't see why people feel the need to compare The Beatles and The Who. It's like comparing Chuck Norris to Bruce Lee. In the end, the only thing that can be agreed on is that they are both so incredibly awesome that should they have ever united forces the world would have exploded.

  • He was the JIM CARREY of drumming...

  • god keith has such a fun personality and i think thats what makes his drumming best but and also skill

  • I like The Who.

but The Beatles will always be the best!

  • @TwistedSister09 Here! Here!

  • can some good soul write what he says? i cant hear the last part :(

  • @dkdeu

    Man: And the winner is

    Woman: The Beatles

    [accepting is Keith Moon]

Keith: I've got a telegram from the lads. "We finally made it Keith and uh everyone that has given us this prestigious award is enhanced by the beauty of your receiving it for us". I've got an open invitation to any of their houses so afterwards the best looking in the audience will be selected and we'll be going there for a late luncheon and a early breakfast. Thank you so much.

  • @TeaAndChips THANK YOU!! :D

  • I find this sad, because Keith said one time he always felt he had to act crazy, he always had to be "on". Jimi Hendrix after awhile HATED setting his guitar on fire and singing the same songs. There's always the darker side, which can lead to severe depression, and sometimes early death.

  • @TheDorr71

Alice Cooper was one of Keith's closest friends and he has said often that he's not sure if he knew the "real" Keith or if there even was a real Keith.

    It is kinda sad.

  • Please, can someone write what he says ? I'm not able to understand everything x)

  • Oh, keith moon, your a fucking gentleman

  • this doesnt sound like keith

  • What was the award?

  • keith is the greatest !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what an absolute legend Keith was...

  • 11 people disliked this. HOW THE FUCK CAN YOU DISLIKE THIS EPIC MOMENT IN MUSIC HISTORY??????

  • That might be the best stage exit in history

  • That guy at the end just looked like a tit.

  • @indigomist The guy at the end was the one and only, incomparable, Alice Cooper who was good friends with Keith Moon. He was doing his best Moon impersonation. And a tit is a good looking thing.

  • @Beatnikzombie Not when you're a guy.

  • @indigomist Guys usually like tits. Maybe you're just gay.

  • @Beatnikzombie Maybe I am, got a problem Mr. Homophobe?

  • @indigomist Nope, not at all. Just helping you find yourself.

  • @Beatnikzombie depends on the tit .im not into big saggy droopy tits ..

  • @indigomist yeah a big droopy tit like oranges in a pair of socks type granny tit ..lol...p.s. fuck all those other comments .its just these guys have only ever seen tits in a porno mag lol

  • Keith had the somersault down pat. He did one everytime The Who came on stage at the beginning of their concerts.

  • The Beatles broke up in 1970. What award did they get in 1975?????

  • @riverdale999 It was probably one of those BS awards they give out at MTV award shows to artists who made an impact in certain eras in history.

  • I remember this from the "Rock Awards" 1975. Diana Ross and Alice Cooper hosted this Show. It was only on maybe two years. The Stone's played "I Know its Only Rock N' Roll but i Like it" with the bubble machine which buries Charlie Watts. Also Alice Flips out on Dian Ross knocks her down then gets chased by security guards and sings "Only Women Bleed". Someone should Find and post that clip, its pretty funny!

  • @Kenebutch

Alice flipping out on Diana Ross and being chased by security segues into "Go To Hell", he sang "Only Women Bleed" earlier in the show.

The clip's on here, look up "Alice Cooper Go to Hell/Wish You Were Here".

  • @lesterclaypool1 Thanks for the info, my memory is a little foggy since it was 36 years ago, i was only 13 years old then, HA! I'll definitely check out the video since I'm a big Alice Cooper. Finally he's in the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame!

  • @Kenebutch

My wife's a huge Alice Cooper fan, too (She's seen him over 30 times).

Shame they couldn't have inducted him when all of the members of the original ACG were still living. Rn'R hall of fame waited until Zappa was dead to induct him, which is reprehensable and made me lose all respect for that, so-called, institution,

That clips on my page as the featured video if you can't find it.

Keep on rockin' in the free world, my friend :).

  • Ah keith, def. my fave drummer ever!

  • a class act!

  • what a great fun guy , we miss u keith moon. rest in peace.

  • that was his mock toff accent probably was definitely pissed then...

  • Surprisingly physical agility for a man no doubt pissed out of his head!

  • rip

     keith

    john

    george

  • @spartanjaws and john entwistle too!!

  • where can I find the video of Keith in his U.K. Suit running after a car?

  • @azzaboi93

Could be from their film 'The kids are alright' . . . then again might be an old news reel or something- -not sure. I know the clip you mean though.

btw, 'the kids are alright - the who' is on youtube in 8 parts :)

  • @azzaboi93 I think I know what you're talking about. The only place I've seen that is in a documentary called Amazing Journey: The Story of the Who. Keith's wearing a Union Jack jacket and chasing after the others who are all riding in a car. It's very brief, but it's in there.

  • @azzaboi93

if you find it plz plz i want to see it

  • ahaha that fucking roll he always does at the end brilliant moony

  • Simply the best, you don't get em like that any more.

  • Great drummer

  • you don't get rock stars like that anymore. Just people who are trying so desperately hard to look cool yet people like Moonie make it look effortless!.

    What a true legend!

  • Keith Moon IDOLLLLLLLLLLL

  • Omg that shit is hilarious !

  • Amazing!

    xoxo

    The Clarences

  • Prize for best dodge roll in the universe goes to Keith Moon, HANDS. DOWN.

  • lol, what were the beattles reactions? lol

  • Comment removed

  • Those were to days...even the drummers back then were more witty and creative than the ilk passing themselves off as muscians and singers today.

  • Keith was so funny!

  • Keith Played with Lennon and Yoko, Ringo and him were great friends and Paul too, the night he died he was on a party at Paul's house.

  • @alberto077 No, he was on a drink in Peppermintpark in Londen with Paul, Linda, and also Kenny Jones was there. Keith died in his appartement the morning after.

  • It looks like a monty python sketch! Priceless rip Mr. Moon!

  • He was some character! and a legendary showman.

  • wow keith moon is really high on speed!! hahaha!

  • @beatlesfan1971 I know keith was good friends with at least ringo and I assume the beatles didnt give a shit about stuff like this

  • Paul and Keith were close too.

  • Keith was good friends too with John and Paul. I don't think he knew George quite as well but he definitely was friends with John, Paul and Ringo.

  • Was that at a Grammy Awards? Year? 1970 ? 1971?

  • @bonzo512 I think its somewhere between that

  • @sweetendday From the fact a 1975 era Brian Wilson is in the audience at the start, I would say something like 1975/6, maybe for the Beatles Rock n Roll album?

  • HA!

  • Ha, they should have just given the award to KEITH!

Also- at 1:14 on the right, it's tom petty's british cousin.

  • Wow, I was thinking exactly the same thing about both!

  • wow i can actually see the resemblence

  • what did he says in french please ?

  • I vividly remember watching this award show and Keith's speech. After all these years, I'm glad to see it on YouTube. Vintage Keith. When they played live, he was the soul of the band.

  • how was the 70's old timer? wish i was around then

  • Classy

  • he is fantastic

  • Brilliant man from the top drawer R.I.P

    Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed Drums

  • if i had 3 wishes it one would be

keith moon was still alive and another would be

    john entwistle was alive

  • @christianconefery spot on, m8

  • @christianconefery and the third wish woulkd be that John Bonham was still alive.

  • If nobody had told me I would have said thiss is Michael palin getting the award. Very 1976 though

  • Keith, ya mad bugger! Only you could make missing out on the Beatles look like a treat.

  • Does anybody know of another musc awards where Keith Moon and Keith Richards are together, and Moon tells the audience to all spit his direction so he can do "Singin' in the Rain"?
