@3000ollie It depends what GT. A BG5A (93-96) or a BG5B or C (96-98)
The B's and C's are the same, provided the car is a manual, they will have the same 3-plug engine loom, but the compression ratio in the EJ20H may be different, a standard WRX ecu may be better.
If it's an AUTO B or C, then you're stuck, as they have a 1 plug loom. My advice is to sell the car and buy a factory manual.
@3000ollie If its the older BG5A generation, they have a different loom again, a unique 4-plug loom. You will have to do allot of re-pinning and convert it to a 3-plug loom in order to single convert. And again, you'd need a WRX or Forester ECU.
Do note, the Manual GTB has yellow injectors and orange AFM like the STi's, but the GT's have EJ20H's, with grey inectors like the V3 and 4 auto wrx's, and wrx wagons.
Go to clubsub.org.nz and have a look there, there's A LOT of info!
Using a VF39 for the turbo, all the other single turbo bits are from Version 3 and 4 STi's. Using a V3 STi ECU, it plugs right in. All you need to do is wire it so the legacy coil on plugs work as a wasted spark setup like the impreza's
its a v3 sti ecu for the GT-B but does any one know what ecu is used for a GT conversion? any help would be great thanks

Man, epic conversion! I have a 99 RSK and want to do a single conversion. How hard is it to wire and get a version 4 engine working? Cheers
